on the other hand, almost all fans here a few pages back wanted the NCAA records released, and were wondering what a public organization like the NCAA was hiding. I would assume all the fans that were calling for the public airing of NCAA dirty laundry would also call for the airing of und's dirty laundry. all of the arguments would be exactly the same, only more so, since und should certainly not hide anything from it's own fans, students, and citizens.

He did not play the whole season, but he was the leading points per game player in the WCHA (WCHA games) last season before he was kicked off the team. He had a 1.63 ppg average for WCHA games. Okposo and Hirsh were an incredible pair on the pp, and the team never really recovered from his disappearance. MN lost both Hirsh and Hagemo last year for medical reasons, both players had bright futures and were highly drafted. I thought he was recruited by UND back in the day, but I am not sure if he was. He was a good Friend and teammate of Parise at SSM.

isn't the nhl pension based on the number of games played, and not on years?
-
sure, but if you go back to the posts during that game, you will see irman called every name in the book, he was the lowest, least classy player ever, fans saying a UND player would never, ever do that, etc. Yet, just as soon as chorney did it, suddenly it was just fine, and it was OK with the world, and chorney was a class act. as a very cynical person, it was one of my all time favorite showing of massive amounts of hypocrisy.

getting back to the original comment, most fans were not booing lammy, they were booing because the losing goalie got picked as all tournament. since when does a goalie who was outplayed, and lost deserve to get an award over the winning goalie. everyone knows you pick the winning goalie for the award, not the loser. the fans didn't care at all that it was lammy, they cared that it was not the winning goalie.

yet, last year a UND player did the same thing, and there were und fans saying what a great job he did, and how it was great for him to show his pride. When irmen did it, it was worse than shooting the pope, when the und player did it, it was justifiable pride. so, you need to change your comment about the difference between gopher fans and und fans, because both are more or less the same.

I call it "teasing the tards". he always shows up first.

the problem is that the wcha could not meet it's payroll if the FF was held in Milwaukee. Take a look at the attendance, you do realize that the Saturday night game was the largest attendance ever for an indoor college hockey game. The WCHA has the most expenses of any conference, and also makes the most money. any other location can make a bid for the ff, and the WCHA would love to move it around, but it's been proven over and over, St. Paul is a guaranteed money maker, and is the greatest conference tourney ever held. Here is the facts, think about it a while: SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) announced tonight that the 2007 Red Baron WCHA Final Five set a new all-time tournament attendance record, with 88,900 fans attending this year's tournament at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul. The number breaks the previous record of 87,579 set just last year. Attendance records were set in four out of five games again this year, including a new all-time single-game WCHA attendance record for the second year in a row. Friday night's semifinal attendance of 19,359 initially broke the 19,306 single-game attendance record set in the championship game in 2004. But, Saturday night's championship game between Minnesota and North Dakota drew 19,463 fans, eclipsing the day-old record to become the largest crowd ever to attend a WCHA hockey game in the league's 55-year history. The 2007 Red Baron WCHA Final Five attendance by game: GAME ATTENDANCE PREVIOUS RECORD Thurs., March 15 (Wisconsin vs. Michigan Tech) 16,449 16,312 (2006) Fri., March 16 (North Dakota vs. St. Cloud State) 17,511 16,468 (2006) Fri., March 16 (Wisconsin vs. Minnesota) 19,359 19,353 (2006) Sat., March 17 (Wisconsin vs. St. Cloud State) 16,118 16,164 (2006)* Sat., March 17 (Minnesota vs. North Dakota) 19,463 19,306 (2004) *Still a record

Tough break for the Sioux/Gophers and the WCHA.

scsu got an easy eastern bracket. MN, und, michigan would gladly trade with them. there is a reason why one bracket has teams with 21 NC, and a home team, and Jan Brady's has maybe 2. If scsu is healthy, they make the ff easy. -
Wow, are you guys still bitter because a lame drunk like woog still had a dominating winning record against the sue?
-
if the ref called every penalty for the first period, he would have called 30 of them. this game will either get real ugly, or a penalty fest if it doesn't change.

Well, if you are a gopher fan, then you fall back on " At least the gophers have an all time heads up winning record against UND." if you are a UND fan, you fall back on "7>5". I get a couple of hundred "7>5" responses a year. and I only use the "regular season winning record" a few dozen times a year. My +/- rating is running way plus on this issue.

Everyone on this site is a nutjob, otherwise they would be doing something productive with their time, instead of wasting it here. this guy seems as whacked out as, say dirty is, and I have spent at least a hundred hours a year wasting my time having meaningless discussions with him. Nothing is more fun than teasing the retards, and this guy must be king of the retards.

I don't really know how to put this, but last year, UND went to Saint Paul, beat two teams, and won the Broadmoor Trophy. Mn, on the other hand, went to Grand Forks, and somehow got beat by a much weaker team. So, Mr. Conspiracy Guy, explain to me how this Gopher VS. UND conspiracy works. I could maybe see your point if UND lost in St. Paul, and MN won in Grand Forks, but it just didn't work out that way. Are you sure that this wasn't just some mistake made by whoever made up the posters, and not some conspiracy that includes 3 or 4 million Minnesotans united against UND? I will let you in on a secret. If I could figure out a way to do it to UND every year, I would. But, if I did it, I would put the gopher cheerleaders in place of the UND team, too.
-
The bottom 6 or 7 teams need obstruction, or else MN, UND and SCSU would blow by them like a piece of pancake flat road kill. So, more than 50% of the WCHA teams never want obstruction called, ever. Shepard is just doing what he's told to do by the majority of coaches. it will not change, and the WCHA teams will have a problem with it come NCAA time. The Eastern refs will completely stop a WCHA team in it's tracks.
-
I am sure very busy people from other conferences just look at the pwr, copy, and send it in. Really, how can anyone compare Notre Dame to, say SCSU or UMTC, when ND has basically been playing High School teams, and SCSU and UMTC has been playing the best in the WCHA. And, most voters know that if UMTC, SCSU or UND were playing the same easy ccha teams, they would all have had the same success the last few months as ND.
-
Yeah, it should be against the law to vote number one for the team that leads both the PWR and Krach. If the season ended today, they would only be the overall Number One seed. Simple math, really.
-
Lee might have been a better fit with the gophers. I am sure that He will blossom like Wheeler did next year.
-
gee, I wonder if this is how gopher fans feel about all the comments about Hirsh. I know, I know, he doesn't count, he isn't a real person, he is a gopher.
-
the biggest reason is because uscho is more or less ruined, and if you want to know the current status of another college team, you go to their forum, and find out what's going on. If you want to find out if Gordon is banned, Kaufman and Pohl are still injured, Hirsh is still crazy, what the lines are for Friday, etc. the best place is gpl. I, on the other hand, come here to find out about Kessel.
-
if I am smart enough to not get banned on SS.com, you should be smart enough to not get banned on GPL. Trolling on your rivals BB is a sure fire way to get banned.
-
Sure, this means that the University of Minnesota will have to relocate, but I think UND, the state of North Dakota and our congressional delegation should fully support Smith's efforts to return the Twin Cities to their rightful owners. What better way to end the racial hostility and abuse that exist there? mona smith just made that up, the Dakota people did not originate in Minnesota.

no one likes Shepard. he misses stuff all the time. and, Shepard did give UND two very weak 5X3 opportunities, and power plays at the end of both games. If a ref gave that to my team two nights in a row, I would buy him a drink. A killer team would have taken those opportunities, and stuffed them past Briggs.
