After a delayed too many men call on UMD was called, the UMD commentator was pretty irate on the call and said something to the effect of: "The officiating has been terrible all weekend. There goes Shepherd(Brad) yelling at the benches on a power trip again." Hilarious.

Duluth is up 4-1 over Denver after 2. Sieverie is not having his finest game.

Duluth is now up 3-0 against Denver with 2 PP goals. They couldn't buy a PP goal last night and they couldn't stop Denver on the PP either. 6 minutes left in the 1st.

It felt like Stoa had more PIM than Barribal since he's had 2 CFB's and the altercation at UND. According to CollegeHockeyStats.net, he's the team leader in PIM with 64. For some reason, USCHO has his PIM listed as 0. Must be trying to help his Hobey Stats.

Call me crazy, but I'll take Denver this weekend over Duluth. I'd prefer to get more help in the national picture and take our chances in the league later on.

No, No, No. It's not political correctness. All Florida State does is provide "funding" towards Seminole tribes and students of that same tribe. I thought UND provided scholorships specifically geared toward Sioux students? Or is it Native American's in general? Am I wrong? UND shouldn't go negotiating with the Sioux tribes for dollar figure from apparel/ticket sales/etc. They should just say we have "funding" that will be available to your tribe if you allow us to use your name. It worked for FSU.

Ha...That cross-check is comparable to the situation last night? Give me a break. Did Zajac retaliate to what he perceived as a questionable hit on a teammate? Yes. Was it Necessary what Zajac did? No. Was there intent to injure on Zajac's part? No. Did Zajac jump the Gopher guy after he hit him? No. Where are the similarities? From what I can tell, only my first point is similar to what Schack did last night.

If you live in Minnesota(Duluth, Mankato, Twin Cities, Etc.) and receive Charter Main Street Sports, the games will be on that channel this weekend too. Comcast in the Cities picks up that channel too. Charter Sports

They have a right to have a better record than we do right now...They've only played 7 road games(out of 23) the whole year so far! Now comes the meat of their schedule starting with the games next weekend. Can't wait to see it all shake out in a couple months.

Since the 2 games last weekend against UND, Lucia has been trying to be physical against SCSU. Too bad, he only does it with a ref between him and a player, when the player is down on the ice, or when the player's back is turned. Do you suppose he got called out by his coaches/someone about being tougher?

I can see that Little Lucia has got tougher since last weekend. He just tried to play paddy-cake with a SCSU player. With an official in the way of course. Baby Steps...

I actually met one of these guys at Tavern United last Friday after the game. The crazy part is that this isn't the 1st time they made this journey before. They made it last year(or the year before) too. Last time they made it in 2 days. They would have been sore once they got to Houghton.

That's what is wrong with the 2-Ref system. The ref down low is watching the whole play develop, but does not call the penalty. The referee who is 60+ feet away from the play feels he can make better judgement of the situation from a worse position. And for the record, I'm not saying it was a penalty on Jones, but why doesn't the ref who is 10 feet from the play not call it with the best angle?

Those(the guy in the email) are the fans that both fan bases don't need, but both have. If a fan like that can't comprehend/understand the rationale of why certain stuff goes on during the course of the game, then I wouldn't want him as a fan for my team. You also wouldn't see this many negative emails/posts/articles etc. by Gopher faithful if they hadn't gotten beat so bad last weekend. A good ass-kicking lasts for a while and is tough to get over. Besides, is it really a good thing that Minnesota fans are still talking about the series from a week ago and not the current series?

Does the fact that they went 0-fer against Brown on the Power Play and 2-13 for the weekend show that the PP of Minnesota's is slowing down? Plus, playing on an NHL size sheet of ice will limit the time and space(even if it's only 15' across) that Minnesota can throw the puck laterally.

Who out there has a single ticket that they need to get rid of for this weekend's games? Any locations considered, even in The Betty. I'm living in Bulldog country(Duluth) and would like to get back for the games this weekend.
