It gets even tougher for Div I scouts as Canada has taken note of the success of Shattuck and more Prep schools are popping up. A new one is Harrington College, Quebec, halfway between Montreal and Ottawa, and they play most of their games against Tier two Junior teams from the America East Hockey League. Their team, the Iceburgs, features a couple of highly skilled Austrians and the one to watch is 16 year old Vincenz Peters who has been scoring goals in bunches despite going up against players who are 2 to 5 years his senior.

Perhaps it was to get more games/longer season.

Drew Stafford played with the big club tonight and made a beautiful pass to Daniel Briere for the game winning goal in OT. Buffalo over New York 4-3. The highlight from the game featured Kevin Weeks robbing Stafford of a sure goal.

I think Ed Belfour should be able to recognize a goaltender when he sees one.

With St Cloud having a penalty to end the game how did the same lame officials miss the fact that they put five players out for the final faceoff. The quality of DI hockey has steadily improved over the years but the quality of WCHA officiating seems to be going in the opposite direction.
