He was in the lineup tonight and had 2 points. I see he has only played 19 games, so he was on the shelf for awhile. I didn't know if transfer rules still applied since he left last spring and went right to the USHL. Is UND still looking at him for next season?

Anyone know if Max Gardiner is receiving any interest from UND? Wasn't he with the Gophers and then left? Could he be brought in right away?

I emailed the SiouxShop and just got a reply. They said they will continue to sell merchandise with the Sioux Logo on it until they can on longer get it. They suggested in the email that they will probably have Sioux logo apparel until the end of the school year.

Any idea if UND is looking at Alex Schoenborn from Minot. He was a first round USHL draftee and was called up for the game against the force at the age of 15.

I know that he probably has a million offers, but does anyone know if UND has an offer out to Seth Jones from the USNDTP? Does anyone know where he is leaning....or if he will even go the NCAA route?? He had an impressive camp, so I'm sure the MJs are going to be pushing hard to get him. Who owns his rights? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The guy that writes this blog is a joke though! He takes every chance he can to insult UND. He continually uses the Secondary Six names instead of the chosen conference name. While he gives some good info from time to time, he likes to paint the picture with UND always being the bad guy! There are 6 teams in the new conference, and yet UND is the only one to blame?

Is there any chance that Cichy changes his mind now, or if he considered, would the coaches let him?? I never saw an official statement saying he enrolled at WMU and with the coaching change, maybe that changed his mind. Combine that with the additional departures, Cichy would have to like his chances of playing every night........ Maybe I am just spouting some wishful thinking.....it would be nice to have another veteran or two up front.

I think most fans will be pleasantly surprised at the offensive skills that Mattson possesses too. I have watched him play a few times and while he may not have many goals, I think he will be great on the powerplay and is one of the best passers I have seen in a long time. While he won't replace Chay, he certainly won't be considered a stay at home defenseman.

I think that some other freshmen will surprise UND fans next year, not just Grimoldi. I think UND is bringing in enough talent that even if the first half of the season may be rough, the second half will be quite interesting.

Didn't Northeastern have 2 recruits back out of their commitments after the draft and coaching change?? I believe they were both drafted and at least one was a forward, and the other was originally from Fargo. Any thoughts on if either one of them would jump into the lineup this year??

Looks like Justin Jones' has left DU. I agree with a majority of the people out there in that he was added to try to entice his brother (Seth Jones, USNDTP) to accept an offer to DU. This might make UND look that much more appealing now that Seth will most likely commit before his brother has a chance to find another school. Does anyone know if UND has looked at Nolan Zajac?? I know this is more suited for the Prospective recruits thread, but since the topic of needing at least one defensemen for next year was brought up........ He is having a pretty good year in Cedar Rapids, not a big kid, but seems to move the puck well, and has family ties to UND......he may be someone they could bring in last minute...... Any other names circulating out there???

Does anyone know if UND is looking at Henrik Samuelsson from the U-17 team? He is having a great tournament (leading scorer) and since UND already has 2 recruits from that team, he would be with his buddies when he chooses UND.

O'Donnell - 2 assists in 4 -1 win on Wednesday night MacMillan= 1 g, 2 a in 3-1 win on Wednesday night They are on the top line together and their line had a combined 7 points last night. It will be interesting if Hak keeps them together next year as they seem to have developed some nice chemistry.

According to the Fargo Forum, Demers has 5 D1 offers to play hockey. Does anyone know if UND is one of those offers. I was at the Sioux City and Indiana game last night. Nick Mattson had a goal and looked pretty good. He isn't very physical and his defense will have to tighten up, but he has great patience with the puck, good hands, and one of the best passers I have seen in any league. He was very poised with the puck and made alot of great breakout plays when his team was having trouble getting things going. Schmaltz was good, but definitely showed his age. He is very skinny and will need to put on alot of muscle mass. He skates fairly well and has some good hands. He would bounce back and forth between a great shift and a poor to average shift. Another year or two and he should be a very nice addition to UND. Any further word on Danny Mattson??

Is anything on Michaelson confirmed? I thought just a few days earlier it was stated that he was waiting till the end of the hockey season to make his decision.
