Fri - Duncs Sat - VV

I watched last year's regional games at the RTOs on Bell in Glendale. There were a few other people there for both games. I'm assuming that they'll be able to get the Final Five games as well. Not sure about this weekend, though. I generally go there just because it's about a mile from my apt., as opposed to the trek down to Mesa. Anyway, keep me updated if there's going to be a Mesa RTOs gathering. I might try to make it on Friday.

Are you guys talking about the RTOs in Mesa or another valley location?

I know for a fact that you never did anything even close to that when you had an 11-teen y/o girl! Though I suppose you can make up for it by buying my plane and game tickets to the Final Five

Gregoire is 10-10-20 and Hextall is 9-10-19. Either one could have more points after the next few weekends. But I would say Gregoire gets the nod for the rookie team, regardless, just because everyone seems to hate Hextall. Well, everyone except us, of course

This weeks INCH 4x4 has Michigan, UND, Cornell, and Wisco in the Minneapolis region. Yuck.

Kozek and Malone might be switched on that, though. Malone played pretty well being moved up with VV and Frattin on Sat. night.

I fully agree that it was due more to Turco's luck than skill. I was just saying, he was robbed.

After sweeping the gophers CC went up to 16th in the pairwise. Expect them to play with a some desperation, because they have an outside chance at the tourney now.

Miami won in the shootout, but tied with Northern Mich. 1-1 for pairwise purposes. ND up 1-0 over UNO last I saw.

Toews was absolutely robbed in that game today. He had a wide open net cause Turco was sprawled out on his stomach from the flurry of shots. Just as Toews shot the puck, Turco got his leg up high enough that the puck went off the blade of his skate. It made ESPNs Top 10.

I know a lot of us put in various combos, but that's pretty sweet that someone got it exactly right.

I can't believe the crowd is actually booing him. Have some class, folks.

I kind of like the second half surge tradition. My main concern (and I hope it isn't this year) is that one fall the sioux will dig themselves into a hole so deep that even an amazing second half won't get them back into the tourney.

It's funny. Regardless of where the Sioux end up, I'm not really comfortable with who we have to play. Yes, we'd have home ice advantage, but we haven't faired very well against tech this season, and I'll decide how I feel about possibly playing UAA after this weekend. And if for whatever reason we end back in third, then we have to play the mavs again, who always seem to give us a tough contest (sat. more so than fri. this past weekend). Gotta love parity in the WCHA.

Later in the article it notes that Kessel's production has been down after missing six games in January due to mono. I'm surprised he only missed six games. Generally with mono the spleen is incredibly enlarged, so you aren't allowed to have contact, because it has an incredibly high risk of rupturing. I wonder how he got back in so quickly.

Hak had Finley out on the PP after Lapoint went down, but that may have just been a quick game decision. We may see someone else out there next weekend.
