  1. I hope St. Clair is still on the 3rd or 4th line. He has consistently been a burst of energy and effort in just about every game he's played.
  2. Well, those shook things up a little bit. BU moved up 4 to #18, Merrimack moved down 4 spots. BC dropped down to tie UND at #5, which allowed UNH to sneak up into the last 1-seed.
  3. BU looks to be redeeming itself tonight...currently up 5-0 on Merrimack a little bit into the 3rd. UMass up 2-1 over BC just shy of halfway through the 3rd.
  4. I think that's the general consensus around here.
  5. I think in those instances, it was the second-string goalie in question, not the third. I don't think Tate will start, but I hope the boys play their butts off so the coaches have little reason not to give him a couple minutes. I agree with Big A HG...I don't think Tate would be upset if he doesn't get ice time; he knows his role and does it to perfection. I just think it's something that we as fans and his teammates want as a way to reward him for being such a character guy.
  6. Maybe dump-and-chase is more reliable defensively, so they do that until the D (and the defensive play of the forwards) get more consistent as the season goes on. I have no clue if that's even close to accurate; just throwing it out there as an option.
  7. Exactly...I wasn't serious about thinking he'd start, but I would be thrilled if the Sioux pop out a large number of goals so he can get some action in later.
  8. I'm assuming Saturday night's game is Senior Night (any chance we see a start from Tate?). Can't believe it's that time already...what a heckuva great group of character guys: Mac, Kristo, Knight, Gleason, Rowney, and Maris.
  9. Not only that, but with the amount of special teams needed for last night's game, I bet their TOI up to that point was ridiculously high. With a score like that, especially with some chippiness going on, there's no reason not to let some of the fresher (albeit less talented) legs play.
  10. This save is absolutely sick. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=agpCA9Jqe0o&feature=youtu.be
  11. The 4-1 score wasn't final, so that's a heck of a comeback. But I think Siouxweet's statement about HC's TUC status still stands.
  12. Ha! Your bulleted post-game interview doesn't really do justice to how disgusted and absolutely pissed off Hak sounded.
  13. At this time of year, everyone hides injuries. It's quite possible that Rodwell's back in GF and healthy, but it's also as likely that he's back in GF and injured and Hak and Co are claiming he's healthy.
  14. Not only that, but at night the flash is absolutely blinding. Not that I would know, because I never speed. Ever. But, one of my friends (who was a frequent receiver of tickets from the 101 photo cops) used to tell me that it is required by law that tickets be served in person...meaning, if you just don't respond to the ticket in the mail, it doesn't go on your record, and you don't have to pay. If you do this, however, she also advised to not answer your door when 'official-looking people' knock on it. Hahaha! As far as I know, this method worked for her for several years! On a related note, I remember when I lived in Glendale that there was a story about a guy who sped through all of those, but had covered his license plates and put on a gorilla mask or something like that right before he reached the cameras. There was a big story when the cops finally caught him, because he'd been doing it for several months. Anything to avoid the ticket, I guess! (except actually going slower; that would be a preposterous idea!)
  15. Whoa. OD finally back in the lineup tonight.
  16. It's not the worst thing ever for the men, but definitely not an appropriate ranking system for the women.
  17. 8 mountain, 9 central, 10 eastern
  18. There's a small parking garage right near it on campus. Otherwise, it's easy to park at the light rail station and just walk a couple blocks over.
  19. Whenever I get stuck working a Friday evening, I depend on Sioux hockey games to make the time go by quicker. Doesn't do me a lot of good when the game doesn't start til 10pm! I went to this series the last couple years, and it always seemed that the Sioux would outplay DU but then get absolutely hosed by the refs (more blatantly than in any other series I recall seeing). Hopefully things are called evenly, but I'm sure it'll be a great series either way. Sioux Yeah Yeah!!
  20. Wow. Manchester looks brutal. Regardless of recent slides, I definitely consider Denver, BC, and Notre Dame to all be legitimate threats. Add UNH to that, and you have a 'region of death.'
  21. Ha I actually live in Maine. But nothing makes you more aware of how extensive the east coast bias is (in all aspects of life, not just sports) like being a non-easterner living out east!
  22. I wish they'd make the west regionals a little more west. The farthest a Boston-area school would have to travel to a regional is 836 miles. The closest regional for the Sioux is 900 miles.
  23. Ok, someone's gotta post the Mr. Belding comparison. It just wouldn't be the UND/DU series without that.
  24. Yeah, I was thinking more along the lines of making it an exhibition game.
  25. It's not that it's a bad idea in general, but probably should not have conference points on the line.
