  1. I believe we go to one of the ticket places starting Monday and just purchase them. Forgot to say that I know I and a bunch of other students who post here would appreciate it if non-students called/emailed/etc. Roger and Paula in support of this. Your support would help an awful lot, I'm sure. Thanks.
  2. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I gave the wrong building. Quit telling me I'm wrong and start calling.
  3. Shhhh! You gotta start low. Why make your best offer to begin with?
  4. I talked to Jordan and he said the people to talk to about getting season tickets in the Upper Bowl are Roger Thomas and Paula Sondreal. Paula is in the Old Ralphy, I think. Her number is 777-2236 and her email address is paula_sondreal@UND.nodak.edu Roger is in Hyslop. His number is 777-2235 and his email address is roger.thomas@UND.nodak.edu If a whole bunch of people call them, I think we might be able to actually get them.
  5. Everyone knows I'm the best Sioux fan anyways. Jordan can be all nice, but I'm still better than him.
  6. If it's green, in good condition and a normal size, I'll give you $100.
  7. This is what Jordan wanted to do after the original idea fell apart, but REA doesn't want this because then they can't kick people and keep them out as easily. At least that is the reason I've heard. Seems to me you could just invalidate their ID like they did the first two years.
  8. Either that or when a student tries to start a "Let's Go Sioux" chant, someone will complain to security and the student will be kicked out. Do rush seating like Marriucci. It's simple and effective.
  9. The problem is that the commitee that made the decisions this summer was a mainly comprised of weenies. They just wanted a system where they could get lucky and thus get good tickets, so that is the system that got put in place. Every good idea that would actually work, got shot down because these dorks didn't want it. They'd have to put a small amount of effort and dedication into it if any of the ideas presented here were implemented. Since they don't want to put any effort into things, they just want it handed to them, good ideas get shot down.
  10. One of the parts of football game is when the Band plays Fight on Sioux right behind the opposing team before kick off. The students are bouncing all over the place and it is loud. Once again, hello REA pay attention please. I do miss that psychotic cymbals player from last year. He was crazy and seeing him crash the cymbals right in some players' ear was hillarious.
  11. I like Communism/Socialism better. Heck the best idea is just give them all to me and I shall distribute them as I see fit. I can be bribed.
  12. Yep. The problem is that my idea is simple and straight forward, therefore it can not be implemented. It has to be overly complicated, confusing and poorly planned for it to be used.
  13. I would've been there a week before they went on sale if they hadn't changed the system this year. I think the best idea is a line and I still do not see what the problem is. You add on to the price of student tickets what it takes to pay for security/porta-potties/whatever for the line. You have cards like this year with everyones name on them and they are numbered as you get in line. Someone from the group has to be there at all times. All the seats in the lower bowl and half the seats in the upper bowl are sold as season tickets to start with. If the demnad is there, more of the upper bowl is sold as season tickets. Leave 500 seats in the upper bowl as GA.
  14. Could you draw a snowman while you are at it? I like snowmen, they're so cuddily.
  15. As much as I'd like to, I couldn't fight beersong and co. Though I'm sure we could get a fake fight going that would get the DECC in an uproar.
  16. Yeah, I'm getting them early for sure. I'm trying to get all the tickets together, so I'm sending in the order form tommorow which is what the UMD ticket lady said I had to do since I wanted more than 4 tickets. Hopefully we'll be able to get some good seats cause I'm trying to get us in the top row, that way blue hairs can't yell at us for being in their way.
  17. A group of us are going to go to the UMD series. Where are the good seats? Or what sections should we avoid?
  18. This is the greatets injustice in the history of the world!!!!!
  19. Unfortunately GVSU and UND are now in the same region, so they can't play each other in 'Bama. If there is one positive to NDSU not being in DII this year, it's that the Northwest region won't be even tougher. It is ridiculous how stacked the region is, especially with how weak the Northeast is. The Sioux and Lakers would both absolutely steamroll through the NE, instead though they have teams like SVSU, SCSU and Northwood. What a load of bull. I thought I saw somewhere on the GV message board, that they probably wouldn't go DIaa because it would make traveling tough. Don't really know though.
  20. The score that suprised me was the UMD-MSU-Moorhead game. After the last couple weeks I knew the Dogs were bad, but only beating the Dragons by 4? Geez! They'll be lucky to win a game in the NCC this year.
  21. We are going to find that out on Monday. Does anyone know who I talk to about that? Would it be student gov't or someone at REA? Hopefully we can convince whomever to allow us to get season tickets.
  22. We'll be pumping adreneline directly into people! I'll bring the needles. They can either take the shot directly to the heart or wake up voluntarily.
  23. I think this is the best idea too and I don't know why REA is so against it. There were very few problems with it last year. My idea is that you add one $5-10 to the student ticket price to pay for the security that will be necccessary. Whatever though, I say instead of thinking of all the negatives, we try to think of some positives. We're gonna make the upper deck actually wake up this year.
  24. 1. This situation was handled poorly, whether you want to admit it or not. 2. From everyone I spoke to before last night, there was not going to be a lottery. Then all of the sudden there was a lottery. That's going to make people mad and they have a right to be, once again whether you want to admit it or not. 3. The people on here complaining, are more frustrated than anything. Many have had basically the same seat for three years and they truely care about Sioux hockey. They aren't just frustrated that they won't get that seat, but that somebody who doesn't really care about hockey and is just there to be seen will instead have that seat. That is annoying. 4. For all of you people who are telling others to shut up and quit whining, you seem to be going completely against what Jordan said this morning. Before today I had never met nor talked to Jordan. I had heard he was kind of a frat boy and that didn't appeal to me much. When I talked to him though this morning he was a great guy and very nice. He said he welcomed the complaints (he is insane) as he knew people would be unhappy. Rather than telling his fellow students to sit down and shut up, he seemed to encourage them to speak their minds to him. This wasn't really his fault, yet he seems willing to take the blame. So please quit acting like people who are complaining are doing anything wrong. They aren't. I'm sure all of you have complained about something in your life that you weren't involved in. Sure getting involved would help, but just because you weren't directly involved in the decision making process, does not mean you should have to remain silent. 5. You know why so many people are complaining here? Because they care. I'd rather have 1000 people complain about the system for how much it sucks and how they got screwed out of tickets, then have no one complain about anything because no one gives a crap about the hockey team.
  25. I think the best idea when this whole thing went down the crapper, would've been to make the entire student section GA. REA doesn't want that though because then they don't know who sits where all the time. Makes you feel real nice when you are assumed guilty only to prove innocence. How much damage have students caused really? There is that whole standing up thing, but that got solved. Every problem there has been, has been solved. I don't think GA would've been that big of a problem, but I guess REA disagreed.
