I'll say it before PCM or Sicatoka does. It can be crazy without the students, just look at the CC series and Denver playoff series two years ago. I realized during the WJC, cheer all you want and screw other people if they don't like it. If someone tells you you're being to loud, tell them too bad. Have fun at games and don't let a bunch of stick in the muds ruin it for you. We are letting the grumpy people ruin it as we are so concerned about them that we forget to do what we want to at games. Ignore them and do what you want, eventually they'll stop coming to games and their tickets will go to people who want to have fun at games.

This was my idea when they were building the new arena.

I'm suprised they haven't outlawed cheering during play. Especially at football games. It's terrible how loud it can get when the visting team is on offense!

Which is exactly why they'll just destroy all the stuff. They seem to be unwilling to make money when it makes the most sense.

I'm not sure, but lets assume they have. Scholarships have been reduced in DII in the last 15 years, correct? Yet these schools still aren't happy. Since they aren't willing to do the things neccessary to compete in the current market, they want to change the market so they can. It's too much work to meet the current standards, so lets just make the standards easier. That's always a good idea. If they are so unhappy with DII, why don't they leave? That certainly seems to be what UND will do should this scholarship reduction happen. BTW, I don't know how much better Nebraska's coaches are than UND's.

Why attempt to join something, then once you are granted membership complain about how you can't compete in what you just joined? If it was so damn bad, why did you want to join?

And all those teams stink. Think if they played Moorhead.

I can't really blame the dorks for not showing up, it was freaking cold out. I wouldn't want to protest when it is 10 below either.

Who cares what Gopher fans think? Be a redneck, look stupid, whatever, it doesn't really matter what other people think if you are having fun, being loud and enjoying yourself.

Well I would have to agree with the Post about the lack of sand. Would it kill Grand Forks to do it at some point before Columbia became a skating rink? Sheesh, it was terrible monday and tuesday.

If true, that is quite the compliment to Lee because despite what many people here said, Suter was named to the All-Tournament team so he must have been pretty good during the tournament. If Lee can be like Suter in two years, he'll be doing pretty darn well.

They were pretty terrible. As bad as the US players were last year, that was the sweetest National Anthem I ever heard.

Only wish Zajac was on this team to rub it in the Russians face for Stafford and Co. Though Mr. Phaneuf and Stewart doing it is almost as good.

The Canadian fans may cheer against the US, but from everything I've seen they would be in the same class as Gopher fans towards Sioux fans, generally good guys. The Russian players, as well as the Russian coaching staff, are all sacks of sh^t. They have no class whatsoever and acted like a bunch of stuckup jerks. Malkin taunting the bench, Ovechkin taunting the US players, etc.

We need the response to this and that of course is AN-DRE FLEURY....AN-DRE FLEURY!!!

Exactly and when half the Sioux fan spend more time bitching about people instead of watching the game or cheering, there isn't going to be much atmosphere. The Canadians did do the wave yesterday too though, that's a major negative. The Canadian game yesterday was exciting, while for the most part the USA game wasn't. The Canadians played really well, the Americans played pretty badly. That's another reason for the difference in noise.

Canada won 7-3. They totally dominated when they played fully awake. The Crosby-Bergeron-Perry(?) line was nearly unstopable. And if you think Mike Prpich deeked Reichmuth out of his jock a couple weeks ago, you should have seen Patrice Bergeron absolutely undress the Slovak goaltender about 17 times on the first goal of the game. I do not believe there are any tickets for the Gold Medal game left.

I would never be drunk enough to trade away a Sioux jersey. Though I was nearly drunk enough to trade away my Sioux pants when I was in Duluth a couple weeks ago. I'm pretty sure everyone at Grandma's is thankful I didn't. You know how much it costs for the custom jerseys to be done?

Because alot of people are just there to be seen. They don't know who any of these USA players are and don't care. It was an exhibition game, so why go?
