UNH did a very good job outmuscling and outhustling Dartmouth most of the game and had a face-off advantage for a while. UNH got lucky with the breakaway at the end but well deserved win and many other teams will probably try to emulate them when it comes to shutting down Dartmouth's offense.

Army played better than the score. Two of the goals were ENG's and they had some good chances to tie after going down 1-0. The only teams in the ECAC that can really handle Dartmouth are Cornell and Q. Harvard is too suspect defensively and not as well coached

For spearing, there really should be no leeway. "Facemasking", though, was definitely in need of a rule change with all the light touches being called 5 minute majors last season by eastern refs

I know there was some feeling of doom and gloom in this thread, but you folks should be optimistic given the talent this year. There are many good teams that have gone to the North Country and were lucky to not get swept by Clarkson, SLU, or both on a given weekend. Under the recently terminated Schafer regime, Cornell had a pretty sub-par record in the North Country and quite a few good Quinnipiac teams have lost games there, too.
