SDSUFAN: The building was originally supposed to be owned by UND, but the state legislature passed a law that said that a building of that sort had to be self sufficient. So Ralph created REA, and will turn the building over (Or give UND effective ownership of the arena) when this is happens. Although, i like the idea that if the building turns a profit it goes to the UND athletic department and if it loses money the losses are covered by REA. Somehow, i don't think the REA will be losing tons of money anytime soon.

Brandt played solid tonight, he definitely had to be the star of the game. He wasn't challenged a whole lot, but he made the saves that a lot of times siembida and himself havent been making lately. Notermann is so unreal, he hasn't lit the lamp excessively this year, but how about that move in the third period? If he would have scored on that, it would probably count as the best goal i have ever seen scored in person. Connely and marvin didnt play. The sioux created quite a few chances, but Blais was not happy with the finishing. The crowd was by far the worst i have ever experienced at a sioux game. People barely even cheered when there was a goal.

Now they are saying over there how they feel bad parise didnt go to U of M because the gophers have a better chance of winning a national championship during the years he is in college. According to one poster the gophers are going to be unstoppable.

I read that herb brooks quote in the newspaper too. First, i figured that he probably just said something about choosing the best school hoping he would pick U of M...... but when he said "and that was north dakota " specifically, i was floored beyond belief. I couldn't get this sh*t eating grin off of my face.
