  1. If only that Einstein guy had been an engineer, maybe then he would have amounted to something.
  2. Thank you, I like it too. What do you like best about it? I like that it almost looks like handwritten printing - and of course the Kelly green color. Why not? It's the only time the odds wouldn't be against you. Okay, last time - either you were wrong about the thread being about a Wild regular season game at the Ralph or you were wrong about the Wild coming up to the Ralph to temporarily hold camp. Either way, you were wrong. It's painfully obvious that you don't like being wrong, but you shouldn't take it out on those that are correct in pointing it out. Buck up, be a man, admit the mistake and move on. Right back at you chief. I need to remind myself that some people are simply beyond helping via the power of reason. Thank you for embodying that reminder. XXXOOOXXX
  3. Look, skippy, don't piss in my cheerios just because you can't follow a thread of posts. I've tried about every other way to say this - maybe I'm not being direct enough - try this: It's okay to be clueless, just don't be a jackass about it.
  4. You respond with, "Read my posts before you pat yourself on the back http://forum.siouxsports.com/uploads/emoticons/default_rolleyes.gif' alt=':silly:'> The day they are there during the season, I will eat crow. Until then, read before you write." This is quite ironic because it is you that needs to read what was posted in this thread before responding as you did, since nobody was talking about any regular season Wild games being played in the Ralph. My intent was to politely point this out without confrontation. I suspect, Sunshine, that the vitriol of your response had more to do with me being a Sioux fan on a Sioux board than iit did with the content of my post. There is a fair bit of irony to be found here as well.
  5. Since the boys ended up with a number one seed in the tournament, how they started the year was not an issue. How they ended it, however...
  6. Easy there, big fella - I'm just having a little fun with you. I must say that this thread is probably not the best one to use as an example of Sioux fans being hypocritical though. I'll also say that your expectations of Sioux fans are rather high - I think you would be hard pressed to find substantial differences in the percentage of hypocrites comprising any fan base - whether they be Sioux fans, Manchester United fans, Dodgers fans or *gasp* even Bucky fans.
  7. Gee, Chuck, don't be so hard on yourself. With both Beaverson and Gregoire it appears that one party did not make good on the bargain, so the second party declined to keep it in force as originally configured. As the story goes, Beaverson did not do what he need to progress and despite this Blais offered to let him get back to work with another year in juniors before coming to UND. Beaverson didn't want that so he chose to go elsewhere. Gregoire was offered a year earlier vs. UND and when DU changed the deal, Gregoire went elsewhere. Kind of a two-way street - which certainly was not the case with Clarke.
  8. Mr. Duncan coming back is huge. For him to show this kind of loyalty speaks volumes regarding the program, Hak, and most especially himself. I have no doubt that a desire to finish his education palyed no small part in his decision. It is incredibly refreshing to see. He may now very well be my all time favorite Sioux - a stud's stud. I hope the fans all make him feel the love when he is introduced at the first home game next season.
  9. H Hrkac - Hobey winner, NCAA single season point record 116 pts. (and he still holds it).
  10. Say it ain't so, Whiskey Joe! Say it ain't so!
  11. Maybe little mikey ought to teach his players to take a check and to not slash - what a whiney ass-munch of a little bitch.
  12. Do you have any statistical evidence showing that power plays are significantly up?
  13. The way 'SU has restructured their media contracts may in fact be the way to go, but I would posit that not even Whiskey Joe's propaganda department would suggest that it's been proven to be so. The restructuring simply has not been around long enough to confirm all of its purported advantages and that it has not resulted in unforeseen disadvantages.
  14. I am, along with many, many others (including at least a few WCHA head coaches).
  15. See above (i.e. enforce the rules in the rule book - if you don't like the rules, advocate that they be changed).
  16. Enforce the rules in the rule book - if you don't like the rules, advocate that they be changed.
  17. Your willful ignorance should not be construed as facts.
  18. Try posting something relevant to what you are quoting.
  19. Yes, that makes sense, since North Dakota in the ancestoral homeland of the Jewish people...oh, wait...never mind. Hate to break it to you, Skippy, but you lost all credibility when you admitted that the real reason you want the name changed is to stick it to "the majority". It's also instructive to note that none of the anti-nicknamers have since posted trying to refute this as a reason to discontinue the name. If this were my website I'd ban a user that posts such racist garbage.
  20. It's becoming obvious that "hermit" is not one by choice.
  21. Miller's numbers were certainly stellar the year he won. I don't know this, but I'd be very surprised to find out that MSU played the toughest schedule in the country that year. Actually, I'd be surprised to find out their schedule was in the top ten with regard to difficulty. JPL's numbers should have been enough to guarantee him a spot in the hat trick. He isn't there and it's disappointing, but the boys still have work to do.
  22. That is exactly what I am saying. When asked why they are offended by the nickname, opponents always run out their standard easily refuted list. In the end, they are always left with only "because we say so". This is not acceptable. I am not close minded. I have evaluated the situation and determined that there is nothing to their "side" of the story. To accept the opposition's invalid arguments is intellectually dishonest.
