  18. It is a great day to see the Sioux play again to move upward and onward (for those that can see them play.) Last night, I couldn't get the game on the Fox stations at home so the wife and I go out for dinner and some drinks (it's also her birthday) and we try to find a place with sattelite tv. Finally was able to get into Damons in Saginaw. Four huge screens all with the MSU-Duke game. I ask the waiter, "Why not have one screen show the NCAA Hockey tournament, specifically the UND-BU game?" I even gave him a list of the channels the game was one. He went to check it out with the manager. Comes back saying, "No can do. Too many basketball fans here for the game." What a crock! So we watched the MSU-Duke game. It was great to see MSU win but by the then the UND-BU game was over. Then they turned NCAA Hockey on just in time to see Michigan up 4-0 against Wisconsin. We watched until the early third period hoping to see that Michigan would lose and catch some scores, such as the UND game. Being that wasn't happening, we left and hit the computer first thing to catch the score. How is this relevant to anything? Nothing, just venting. I can't wait for tonight's game, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get the game on tv. Is there any way to catch it on the web? If not, I'll just watch this site for updates. All I can say now is... GO SIOUX!!!!!!!
  19. It shows a lot of character to seemingly put the incident behind him and look and move forward. He is one tough kid. I know we as fans have had a lot to say about the incident (and still will-rightfully) but we can probably all learn something from his handling of the whole situation. Get well and hopefully he'll return to the ice. Go Sioux!
  20. The quote by Andy Schneider is one that I think will be remembered for a long time to come. Nothing but class and character for his feelings on what it is to be Fighting Sioux hockey player. It's that attitude that (as everyone else acknowledges) makes the Fighting Sioux a proud tradition and always a force to be reckoned with. PCM... Man, another excellent summary of the true thoughts and feelings of any true Fighting Sioux fan! Well done!! From when I first started following Sioux hockey (about 5-6 years ago), each year I have learned more and more about the Fighting Sioux tradition. Each year, my pride increase because I am a fan of the Fighting Sioux (even though I'm not alumni and live in Michigan). I am following each season closer and with more scrutiny (which takes up more time and so far my wife doesn't mind). It culminated for me when I went out for the Wisconsin series for my first live view of the Fighting Sioux and everything that revolves them. It is indeed a feeling and time I will always remember. But why is that? I believe it lies with the whole Fighting Sioux tradition. Sometimes you just can't put it into words other than just AMAZING. Tonight the Sioux will continue the march towards their eighth NCAA championship or they may head home (I believe they stand a good chance of getting #8, but I know I must not get ahead of myself, it's one game at a time). But regardless of how this tournament ends for the Sioux, I am proud to be a fan; I can not wait for the next season to start, I will remember the ups and downs, the grit and tenacity of this team (especially the senior class) and last but not least, the joy they ultimately bring when I watch (or listen) to them play. It's a ride I'm not planning to get off anytime soon. Always a fan of the Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiightiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing Siooooooooooooooooux!!!
  21. An excellent recap on the road the Sioux have travelled this year to where they are at today! Go Sioux!!!!
  22. Who would be the Man in the Yellow Hat??
  23. Now what in the heck does a "internal reprimand" mean? A letter in their file? Looks like the WCHA is really "cracking down" on poor officiating We'll probably never know... But it sure looks good for their public image
