A short, simple summary. Can't agree more. Tomorrow is another day and another game. Hopefully a better day and a better game resulting in a Sioux win. Go Sioux!

"Big Sigh" Had to walk away from the tv. Stomach doesn't feel too good. Having to listen to Woog and his partner doesn't necessarily help while watching the Sioux get schooled.

Thanks PCM! Interesting and informative. Lee and Toews seem like bright and mature players (especially for their age). When the lace the skates and get on the ice, it is easy to forget how young they are. I do like Coach Hakstol's position on the young players. A good balance of not cutting them any slack but being realistic about what you can really expect from them. Even though the Sioux are running a .500 record in the conference and we all like to see them do better, I am very impressed with the coaching and the players themselves. Makes you proud to be a fan of a great team!

Most excellent PCM!!

4-0... And Milweski says that UND has the easiest 2nd half?! There is no such thing as an "easy" 2nd half, especially in the WCHA. Stranger things have happened, Sioux could come back and win, but I'll catch the score later this morning. Saturday night is another game... continue the positive thoughts going into Saturday's game. Keep the faith always for the Sioux (even though there may be let downs). Keep up the good faith DamStrait, good Sioux fan! Thanks for the updates everyone! Go Sioux!!

Still hanging in there...

It's now 12:15 AM Michigan time, I get on to read the entire thread to catch up on things, see the Sioux are down, playing like s**t, seems like many of you have the idea of going to bed... It sounds like a good idea! Not much to stay up late for... don't need much more convincing, but I'll hang around a bit longer to see if a turnaround may happen...

Always look forward to reading your summaries! Thanks PCM!!

Well said! JFR isn't some troll and seems pretty supportive of the Fighting Sioux. Let him speak!

Devsrule, I went out for my first Sioux game earlier this year (the Wisconsin series). The fans on this site gave me a lot of quality advice and suggestions when I came out. Flights, well, you heard a lot here already and I ditto those posts. I couldn't get into the Holiday Inn or the Hilton Garden Inn but I did stay at the Holiday Inn Express. They were clean, good service, affordable and they had high speed internet. However, they aren't nearly as close as the Hilton Garden Inn or the Holiday Inn. I wasn't going to get a car originally either, but I decided to and it was worth the money. You can get around town, hit the spots where the Fans hang out, not have to worry about being restricted as to just the shuttles (although I used them from Whiteys and Dagwoods) and visit the REA, etc. Hope you have a good time (I know I sure did).

The group (which was from England) did get their name from Bay City, MI. Threw a dart at a map and it landed on Bay City. Unfortunately...

I watched both games on Dataflix (about as good as I can get here, but it has been working well as of late) and at the tail end of the third period of Saturday's game, it was pretty obvious that the Denver players on the bench and on the ice were really jawing it up. One of them even said that the Sioux were "all talk." Then to see Paukovich sucking ass with the officials afterwards ?! As quoted in the Herald he says, "Both sides knew the game was over. We were trying to get out of here without anything happening. I guess someone has to take a run at me, which was pretty uncalled for, in my opinion. And then things escalated from there. "There was no reason to jump Helgason at the end. That was absolutely uncalled for. If you want to come after me and settle a score with me, that's fine. But don't go after my teammate. That was the most uncalled for thing I've ever seen." Who is he to talk about what was most uncalled for thing he ever had seen? How quickly we forget the Bina incident. I know we would always like to see our Sioux conduct themselves in a professional fashion but after awhile; how much can they take? Denver and Punkobitch have just sealed the fact they are some arrogant **@!%$!. I give them the fact that they are a good team and all, but for me, that gets thrown out the window with the bull$%!# they had exhibited Saturday. I wish Punkbitch had gotten a good drubbing. Would it have been the right thing to do? Maybe, maybe not. Hindsight is always 20/20. Attribute it to a lopsided score, frustration of losing, dealing with a mouthy and arrogant Denver team, I don't know but it could've added up to have been much worse then the penalties and smack between the players. We'll get them in the end. Win or lose, the Fighting Sioux will always rule.

Bay City, MI (North of Detroit by about 120 Miles) Not many Sioux fans here. Gets sort of lonely...

J Par is definitely deserving. He's kept the Sioux in every game he's played. Everyone does their part, but he's been such a major factor. Have a good night to all Sioux fans. Looking forward to reading everyone's perspective of the game in the morning. Tomorrow night, Go Sioux!!

Sioux putting lots of pressure on Denver's net near the end of the 2nd.

Unfortunately, I guess you can't have a shut out every game... Keep it up Jordan! Go Sioux!
-
Thanks PCM for taking the time to do this. For me, reading this just reaffirms that not all is lost and it's not over 'til it's over. Go Fighting Sioux!

Thank you Yttrium. A solid voice of reason. Something we should all take heed in.
