Another Boston University departure, Gavin McCarthy signs with his hometown Sabres
-
It's not even leaving, it's simply moving up a level. NCAA is better than junior, you move up a level once you're ready to. Vast majority of hockey players aren't good enough to make the jump from junior to pro, the NCAA is the perfect middle ground where you can play against older, but still age appropriate competition before you make the jump to pro. Josephson may have done near zilch in the A if he just signed his ELC with the Kraken. He'll be more pro ready when he signs with the Kraken or whomever else

Correct. My inference of Pete Hughes' tweet is that the blue blood/premier programs would be willing to throw Wyttenbach a bag of NIL to get him to transfer, but nothing about Wyttenbach actually planning on leaving Quinnipiac. I expect him to be back there too

Gotta get one of Carels, Rudolph, Lin, or DuPont (presuming he's accelerated to graduate early).
-
Hate to say it, but Denver is so f**king clutch. Respect it

I knew Karabela had the potential to be very good, but he's really been fantastic for the Buckeyes this year
-
Horrific
-
The youth really showing tonight
-
He's still 17
-
Might be his last game at The Ralph, love to see James get one
-
JAMES!!!

I don't sense the comeback will happen

Piss poor

Disasterclass

Hanson with a nice form tackle, problem is this isn't football
-
Verhoeff obviously took the stick to the nuts, announcers are braindead
-
Ivankovic with some big stops for Michigan. 3-1 Michigan over Penn State after 2
-
If they have another disappointing season again next year, then yes. But it's not like all of Malhotra, Shilov, Glance, Schairer, C. Meyer, Scantlebury, Wassilyn will all just decommit based on 1 bad season. Open to be proven wrong of course
-
Only 5-7 of those potential incoming recruits are actually ready to play. I'm guessing they'll bring in 6 or 7 freshmen.
-
He'll need a full year if not 2 full years down in the A before seeing significant NHL time. Probably should stay another year in the NCAA IMHO
-
Hutson and Boisvert sign, McCarthy potentially signs as well. Would expect them to lose 3-5 in the portal
-
One of the most disappointing seasons relative to expectations in recent memory. Crazy
-
Potter was not a transfer. He was a flipped commit, he wanted to play in the NCAA as a 17 year old, Michigan State didn't want to burn their bridge with the NTDP to bring him in, he looked elsewhere, Arizona State gladly took him.

Specifically youth that isn't dominant all star talent right away. All of Amico (so underwhelming that he's back in junior), Murtagh, Fondrk, Trethewey, Vass have been disappointing in major part because they aren't elite & thus getting exposed. Boston University got so desperate that they had to bring Lawrence in early, and he's just been ok. While some of the recent Michigan teams obviously didn't win the National Championship, a lot of their young talent was elite enough to come in as young freshmen and succeed to large degrees. Same goes for Celebrini, Cooley, Sanderson, etc. Non elite junior players aren't good enough to come into the NCAA as 18 or even 19 year olds the vast majority of the time.
