Here’s a new thought. What if you play for NDSU and now you won’t be able to compete for a national title or a bowl game as they typically have to wait 4 years or so to be eligible for both. Now I imagine the team will stick together, but what if these things mean a lot to you and you decide to transfer to have a chance at a title? We could maybe get some of their players? I’m not sure if this reopens the transfer portal or not?

Maybe the negative of our coaching hire seemingly being a success is that UMinn follows suit and fires Bob? Bringing up Pat as a new coach would be something likely positive. Haven’t thought about it that way.

Full Disclosure, I used to work at UND (hence my username) and one of my coworkers asked one of the coaches on who they wanted to see win the Natty when it was UMD vs DU in Chicago, and they said they’d rather see UMD win. So I feel like at least back in 2017 that was who the coaches viewed as a higher tier rival.

Imagine a world in which Schloss posts a tweet about something like this. That world does not exist as he is a professional and the darn good one

Here’s my rankings: S Tier 1. Gophers A Tier 2. Pioneers 3. Bulldogs B Tier (IE teams that we are sort of rivals but mainly in the minds of the other team) 4. SCSU C Tier (IE: Rivalry that is only really viewed as a rivalry in the mind of the other team) 5. UNO D Tier (IE: Arizona State) 6. Arizona State I will say that with the rise of WMU, it possible after this year they make nexts years rankings.

Kinda crazy that Duluth hadn’t defeated us in their own ice in six years. Like I was still in grad school at UND when they last beat us. Since then I moved to Ohio, lived there for three years and now live in Wisconsin.
