  1. Drew Stafford with a hat trick tonight!!
  2. I don't think there was any flow to that period?
  3. The Sioux is averaging a little over 3.0 goals per game since the season started and from a team with as much talent as we have we need to generate alot more offense for the second half of the year and get the guys that can put the puck into the net to do so!......please don't forget that JPL only gave up 1 goal in the first 5 games of the year.........since that time our goals against is about 3.0 per game, so if you are only scoring 3 goals per game and giving up 3 goals per game, you are going to have a lot of splits on the weekend?
  4. We have a full compliment of Defensemen........Get some BIG pads, strap them on Joe Findley and we have the net fully covered for the rest of the year!!
  5. Hak is a smart guy!!.......he knows he will get a much better deal after the season has ended, when he has other universitys chasing after him and when he is holding the 2008 NCAA Men's Hockey Championship Trophy!!!!
  6. I have a hard time beleiving that some of these incoming Freshman are going to unseat the full slate of returning Juniors we have??
  7. I have to agree......I like the underdog, and Miller has stepped up this year and has become a pleasant surprise.
  8. Toews finds his "Sioux Scoring" touch in Euorpe!!! HELSINKI, Finland (CP) - Karl Alzner and Steve Downie each had a goal and two assists to lead Canada's world junior hockey team to a 5-2 win over Finland in an exhibition game Wednesday. Brad Marchand, Jonathan Toews and Andrew Cogliano each added a goal and an assist for the Canadians, who played a solid all-around game in their exhibition opener.
  9. It does and that is where he stores his head at night!!
  10. Sheppard needs to go back to Peewee hockey!!
  11. Coaches do that sometimes to motivate the team so they don't feel the blame was on the Goalie......it worked as we scored on the next shift!!
  12. Gentlemen.......It's a team game.......no one player is going to win us the NCAA Championship!!!
  13. Ideas like this make people $$$$RICH$$$$
  14. Brad Miller of the University of North Dakota and Tyler Shelast of Michigan Tech University, have been named Red Baron WCHA co-Offensive Players of the Week. Congratulations Brad!!
  15. 16 goals in our first 6 games, and 13 in the last 2 games!!!.......keep the scoring coming!!
  16. I think Miller has sat out 3 or 4 games this year.....pretty good in the games he has played!!
  17. I agree that a shake-up in the lineup is necessary......with only 6 goals scored in the past 4 games, I think consideration is needed to split up the Toews/Oshie/Duncan line and see if we can develop some additional offense from the other lines.
  18. With only scoring 6 goals in the past 4 games, you are not going to win many games in this league...We have a great line with Toews, Oshie and Duncan, but I believe they need to split them up and try to use them to develop some offence from the rest of the lines..A more balanced offence.....I would keep them together for the power plays, but we need some big time scoring to start soon!!
  19. With that sweep and Boston College loss last night, Maine may be ranked #1 next week...
  20. We will need scoring from all lines this weekend......we seemed to get that balance last Friday night......On Saturday, all our scoring came from our BIG line........we need it from more than 1 line!!

  23. It is nice to see another school standing up for what they believe is right.... U. of Ill. Appeals to Keep Indian Mascot By JIM PAUL, Associated Press Writer Tue Jan 31, 11:54 AM ET The University of Illinois on Tuesday filed another appeal of an NCAA decision that would require the school to drop its Chief Illiniwek athletic mascot and logo before it could host any post-season competition. The appeal is the university's second attempt to persuade the National Collegiate Athletic Association to reverse its decision that Chief Illiniwek was an example of "hostile and abusive" American Indian imagery. A staff review committee in November upheld the "hostile and abusive" classification of Illiniwek, but allowed the school to keep its Illini and Fighting Illini nicknames. The latest appeal, to the same committee that approved the original policy, challenges the NCAA's power to impose it, the school said. "This appeal is about the institutional autonomy of NCAA member schools," the university told the executive committee. "It is about flawed rules and process." The policy is scheduled to take effect Wednesday but the university asked the committee to postpone any enforcement of the policy, should the appeal be denied, until after the completion of the current academic year, said UI spokesman Tom Hardy. The NCAA has said it intends to postpone any enforcement for schools with pending appeals until at least April. NCAA spokesman Bob Williams did not immediately return a telephone message Tuesday.
  24. I believe in International hockey those under 18 have to wear a face cage......I believe Kessel wore one last year at the World Juniors......not sure about the neck guard, although it used to be a madatory piece of equipment in youth hockey.
  25. I thought Miller, Kaip and Fabian played good together on Saturday night!!!
