Anyone that thinks that Kessel can hold a candle to Crosby is extremely delusional IMO. Considering how deep the 05 draft class is, to have Crosby on top of that list for the last 2-3 years is absolutely amazing (especially considering he is nearly a year younger than some of the kids available). Kessel is not even thought of as the consensus number one american for the 06 draft and that is not as deep as the 05 draft. Just my opinion though.

Vandevelde was picked 4th overall in the futures draft held a couple of months ago. He was picked by (who else) Lincoln.

I think some (how much I don't know) of Mahlum's shooting problems this year have to do with the ankle injury. I have been to a few games and when you look at her face, you can just tell she is in quite a bit of pain.

I hate to be the one to do this but who is forecheck?

I don't know how reliable of a source Swygman is but he said during the bb game on friday night that they had sold over 13,000 tickets sold at that point (that seemed a little excessive) but there were at least 10,000 there and man it was loud as I remember in a while there.

I don't know what others think, but Smaby really needs to work on his skating while he is one on one with a guy. He got beat at least three times around the outside tonight and wasn't even moving his feet, just trying to push the guy (and not doing well at that either. He better not be like this next year when he will be one of our more experienced d-men. If Blais were here and he played like this he'd be benched right now. Any thoughts on this?

I watched the BC game on tv and did not here anything about Foyt so it doesn't sound like he made much of an impact.

Minnesota officially lost Brock Bradford to BC now . It's on Heisenberg's site now. Now all that has to happen is that Kessel commits to Michigan (or better yet, although much less likely North Dakota) and the recruiting coup will be done. I love when the almighty Goofs lose out on great recruits.

Brian Lee played in Lincoln's 1-0 loss to Sioux Falls tonight. No points of course but it is good to see that he is playing for them now.

I cannot remember where exactly I saw it (probably on this site), but Esposito was apparently showing more interest in New England/Eastern schools. He would be nice to get, but it appears not to be likely. As for Miller, Green Bay is apparently horrible based on how many goals they give up each game. Plus they can't score.

Shattuck has stats up on their website now within the last day or two, if anyone is interested. Toews of course is leading the team in scoring with 29 points, Gergen has 27, Okposo 24 and so on. Genoway has 16 and Chorney has only 8 I believe. These stats are after 16 team games (they play a 70 game schedule as I remember).

I don't know how anyone can think that a trucker mustache doesn't have powers of unmatched proportions. The power just radiates off of him. Way to go Diggler for recognizing this.

I had heard that the Duluth game was the only one that was going to be televised all year. That was a while ago though.
