I am not overly impressed by our new OL coach when it comes to recruiting or energy
I overheard a couple players talking on the range the other day and they didn't sound overly impressed either.
They did say that Pawlak was the best coach they have ever had and wish he was still here though.

if you had to choose either him or eli to have for the next 2 or 3 years it would be ____________
He is good. And should be good at this level, but I don't think this is where he wants to be.
I think he was waiting for others schools while in the portal and the interest from those places never came or didn't work out. Almost feels like coming to UND was his last resort.
I could be completely wrong though. Just my thoughts/feelings on what I know of the situation and how it went down.

"His final three years" may be wishful thinking if he impresses.
I'd be surprised if he is here longer than 1 year.

QB ... I said it; you don't replace an experienced starter easily. Expect more picks against.
Come on Sic!!
Jerry is going to be slinging the rock all over the field and lead us to the promise land!

We really need Mara to take a big jump this offseason. If he doesn't/isn't able to play, we have 4 guys for the 3 guard spots.
That could be concerning.
At the same time, I don't love our current situation at the 5. But having 4 center's on scholarship is a no go as well.
I feel pretty comfortable at the 4 spot and PG position.
I think the last scholarship needs to go to a 2/3 that is a 3 & D player off the bench to provide some spot minutes as needed next season (similar to Mara), but then hopefully learn and be ready to fill in for Eaglestaff when he leaves after next year.

Red Lobster permanently closed in Grand Forks!
Wow! I tried to go there about a month ago on a random Thursday evening and it was an hour and a half wait. Chose to eat somewhere else as a result.
Maybe they couldn't get staff.

So, your saying if a UND player from the portal (ex: running back) is running fifty yards for a touchdown against NDSU, SDSU, etc.. you would not be cheering for him to score?
Yes, I don't see how I could!!
All I would be thinking about as that player is running into the endzone is how much I fear for his future employers and how he had 0 loyalty to his previous school. Why wouldn't he do that to UND as well?? That is something that I cannot support.
The lack of loyalty is ruining college athletics and deteriorating my love for UND!!

I fear for all these players future employers!!
I also will not be cheering for any UND players that came to UND through the transfer portal. They show 0 loyalty and that is not something that I can support.

Zach Edey did a lot of complaining about not being able to make any money off NIL. If they couldn’t find a way for someone like him, it must be pretty difficult.
It really isn't that difficult. Just go to a different country and then they can get paid. It just takes some planning and coordinating. Extra steps that the non-international players don't have to deal with.
That is why he complained so much.
One quick Google search would have answered all your questions.

I hope so. One to replace Hong’s spot and the other for Bothun, since he’s now on scholarship.
And we still need to find 2 scholarship players as well correct?

I think it makes sense to stay in Canada - international students can't sign NIL deals so if we get a good one it will be less likely that they're poached. There's got to be some overlooked talent in the Winnipeg area and in that case our location would actually help us for once.
International students can get NIL deals. They just can't get paid while in the US. As long as they are outside of the US when they receive the money they can get paid whatever they want in NIL.
It's not as smooth, but these big schools will find ways to pay the players that they want.

Yes. The worst RE management company to exist.
The worst company and the worst people. Slimy, scummy, crooks.
Not a surprise one bit that this is happening.
(Sorry. I had to get that off my chest lol )
