Teams will see how Eaglestaff played today and against the Bison and be physical with him. Same with Omot, he had 5 TO’s today.
Being physical like KC was today is the way to beat this team. Bison did it too but fell apart at the end.Bingo

Trey needs to heat up
Trey doesn’t do well in physical games like this
But we need to find a way to get him some clean looks. Clean catch and shoot looks. Do we have any plays for that??

do other schools have red peppers and hot girls everwhere?
That’s a fair point I guess! Red Pepper better get him some type of NIL deal asap

That first half was a literal football game! Plays perfectly into the type of game UMKC wants to play

I have been a Brady backer and I love Brady and everything he shows out on the court but I am curious if Mara could do what he does too but with better defense maybe? I think there are some intangible things that stats or analytics don’t necessarily show that help Brady’s case but he just hasn’t had it as much this year and you can’t blame the kid, he has had a tough last year or so off the court.
An issue is we already have two "hustle/gritty/glue" guys in Amar and Eli King. However, Mara can be that 3 & D guy that we need off the bench. So I don't understand how Brady D still gets 20 MPG while Mara just continues to ride the pine and doesn't even get a shot.
On the flip side, it's hard to try throw Mara in there now. He didn't get enough legitimate playing time during the non-conference schedule and hasn't gotten adjusted to playing in a game. He's only played 81 total minutes all year and is a freshman. I still love Brooks though and think he should be the second guard off the bench.

Totally agree! Mara should be getting most of brady's minutes. Just by watching last night Mara seemed to be more of an impact with his athleticism alone with the few minutes he was there at the end. Sather should have gotten him in sooner for more experience in blowout games like that.
Maybe it's just because we haven't seen him in a game in a long time but his arms looked crazy long last night. His length and athleticism alone would make a much bigger impact than we are getting from Brady D. Mara is actually a threat on the offensive side of the ball so that would help as well.
As much as I really hope this would happen, unfortunately, it's too late in the season to do that. I guess we'll just have to wait until next year to see Mara in action.

- Omot - should take a jump but probably will be around that 33-35% (Currently at 30%)
- TT - is a prototypical 33-34% shooter (At 30%)
- Treysen - a scorer that can shoot. Probably won't be over 37-38% especially with all the focus on him this year now that Norman is gone. (At 38%)
- Brady - if he shoots 35% again this year we are all beyond ecstatic. Career 31% shooter. (At 25%)
- Brooks - possibly a 30% shooter if he even looks to shoot them this year. (Has not looked to shoot them)
- Eli King - hasn't played a meaningful college game yet. Wasn't a great shooter in HS. Probably around 30% this year. (At 30% currently)
- Deng Mayar - career 19% shooter at the JUCO level.... (31% before ineligible on 16 total attempts)
- Tyree Ihenacho (if eligible) - career 32% shooter in 3 years at the college level (At 34% currently)
- Mara - from what I could find, shot 23% from three in his recent playing season (29% on 17 total attempts)
Some pretty good predictions so far! We'll see how the season finishes though!

Yes! What are we doing!? It looks awful having those bleachers moved so far back and it makes the students less of a factor. Who is making these decisions? Also, they strangely put some court-side seats right next to the UND bench Why? This reeks of the changes on the Alerus catwalks.
Great first half by UND.Need the “VIP” seats next to the bench for the big dogs that come to the game

Great minutes by Brooks! I love that guy

Super pumped for the game tonight! Hope it is a fun one again!

Let's keep this thread on topic, 2024 football season, and not who can raise more money than the other.
Thank you!

Not so fast, my friend. Looks like he’d be a terrible fit. He made the Fall 2023 Deans List.
Then we for sure don't want him

Wonder if UND would go after Brody Fox if he transfers? Parker Fox’s brother and currently playing a junior at UW-Stout. Think he’d only have one year of eligibility. He puts up a lot of points there but not sure really how good he is.
He does put up a lot of points. But does he fill a need for us next year? Doesn't shoot 3's as a guard and isn't a post player. Not sure we would need another guard that can't shoot at all.
However, he is a junior with an 'undeclared' major so he would probably fit right in with our team GPA

I see UND is listed on top of the standings, even though their conference record is tied with SDSU, and SDSU won the head-to-head matchup. Does UND own some sort of tie-breaker against SDSU that I am not aware of? I was thinking it could just be alphabetical, but among the teams at 5-4, that doesn't hold true.
I think they list it by overall record if they are tied in the conference record.

Teams need to stay away from the 8 and 9 seeds
would need to win 4 games to go dancing
I don’t think there is a guaranteed win for any team of any game in the tourney’
need to be healthy and playing good, sdsu has the advantage because of location of tourney
I would not be surprised if we saw a 7, 8, or 9 seed in the championship game. Anyone can truly win the tourney this year

Anyone see any recruits there yesterday? Would imagine yesterday would be a prime day for hosting but I also don’t really think the high school kids are who they are going after for 2024.
I didn't see any recruits or any coaches with any kids before or after the game.
I wasn't necessarily looking out for it though so maybe I missed one.

24% isn't challenging them when they beg him to shoot it.
They were also guarding him with one of their post players today other teams don’t even act like he’s on the court

It’s a tiring argument and every time i just think the poster probably has never played ball. I also think Brady has struggled more this year than the previous years but, as you said, he provides so many winning intangibles.
Brady has no business being on the floor. Plain and simple. Brooks should take all of his minutes. He does everything Brady does hustle wise but also actually has skill. And isn’t a literal traffic cone on defense. Don’t forget that traffic cone part

Can’t wait to see your response when he loses a couple?
I think it’s a pretty fair question. Paul Raul even asked Amar the same question in the post game interview. And talked about how it’s harder to stay at the top than it is to make it to the top. But don’t worry, I’m the idiot.
I don’t expect people who haven’t played before to realize how hard it is to play at such a high level for an extended period of time.

Are we peaking too early??
You want to be playing your best ball in March. Can we sustain this level of play for another month??
