  1. Northern Michigan, who was 62 in the pairwise coming to the weekend, is going to sweep Bemidji in bemidji. But hey at least we got a tie at home against bemidji
  2. Not TJ’s fault we are getting worked but he definitely isn’t stealing the game, nor is he playing as well as Hobie did last night
  3. Killing a penalty is something to celebrate in this current age of UND hockey.
  4. We killed a penalty!!!!!
  5. Another reason Croal should be in the lineup. Perron’s skill is getting wasted playing with a guy at 70%(Berg) and Omac who isn’t a great wing
  6. Oh FFS it’s like we hate tenacity and killing penalties. Oh wait, all of that has been on full display recently
  7. We also have no idea what happens in the locker room. Do guys get (like when Motzko benched Pitlick almost of the remainder of the game after he tossed his stick into the crowd and served his penalty). But Jammer seemed to have learned his lesson and played it close to the vest last night so I’m sure he got an earful. Guessing Kunz at least got the word but it still seems like he should be playing down the chart.
  8. To help @Oxbow6 beat the dead horse: There were a couple times in the first period last night where Omac came through the neutral zone with speed and was flowing so well as it was through the middle. He looked good for a few shifts on a different line but also showed that when he plays like a center he is in fine form. Then just like that, boom, we are back to the previous lines giving up leads like Miami.
  9. In a way I get it because as we all know, the retaliation ends up going 4x4 instead of you getting the power play
  10. Seriously Sacha and Swanson aren’t getting surrounded by the right players anymore. But hey if you lose, just keep trying the same things over and over and over and hope that it’ll work later.
  11. That’s true. Because if TJ would have been in we would have lost by 2 haha. Hobie made some saves to bail out the wretched D zone turnovers that I’m not sure TJ has been good enough to make.
  12. That crowd isn’t saying those games don’t matter. That crowd is saying that LOOKING at the pairwise in November isn’t helpful because the math is too volatile. Everyone knows that a game in October carries the same importance as the games in February.
  13. He played at least 2 shifts in the 3rd but I’m not sure what the total was.
  14. Yeah swap him and littler for a shift or 3
  15. Jubenvil has looked good tonight. Keeping it simple and making smart plays with the puck. Looking better than emery
  16. The 22-23 team would like a word. That team gave away leads and D zone pucks like it was a competition
  17. These forward lines already have more chemistry than we’ve had all season.
  18. No matter what I think about Monty’s presence in the lineup, he still has more points than Wilkie
  19. Yeah the D pairings last Saturday changed a bit within the game so I’ll bet they will tonight, too. Plus livanavage played a million minutes last game but I’m sure that’s due to how much time was spent on special teams
  20. Playing 50 seconds last game indicates he’s not even being utilized.. Croal is an absolute energy guy, can take multiple solid shifts, and can kill penalties. He’s more valuable than Monty even if Monty can play mediocre D for a couple shifts.
  21. Croal should be in over Montgomery. Monty played 1 or 2 shifts last game and we could have used an extra PK guy like Croal Saturday. Berry is being the nice guy and going with the hometown kid when someone better is wearing a suit.
  22. Glad to see Swanson in the top 6 where he belongs.
  23. I was thinking the exact same thing. Hobie made a monster breakaway save on Saturday but yeah it seems like as long as they stay low and cover 5-hole any goalie is good against us on a breakaway.
  24. Miami and UND the only ones from the conference not on this list haha times sure have changed https://nchchockey.com/news/2025/1/15/mens-ice-hockey-8-nchc-netminders-named-to-2025-mike-richter-award-watch-list.aspx?fbclid=IwY2xjawH1Y_hleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHRd9MzJ_bwRHJ3TVeEr4OeqCCd3GSPLzGn84b2ND74QPCwimwrZD5oy81g_aem__DnTGcTV5t5r9HKYYP2zNA
  25. I’d love to have the wealth to load up a line like that as well. But then your second line is lacking a proper shooter. If you do go for offense with your top 2 lines, you have to keep at least one good finisher on the 2nd line. The way they are built now balances them for mediocrity.
