Great play call Rudy.......Wanzek wide open but Heidlebach...tanks it in the grass.   Nice bounce back pass though!

    He was MR BASKETBALL

    Not a QB.

Love watching Cam Hunt on D

  2. Really dull team right now. Jones plays hard; fast and intense on each shift. Thought Wolanin showed a presence on D. Cam was solid. Adams in spots was good.

Can't believe Olson and his "pulling a plow" skating is playing. NO Gardner or much from Gersich though.

REFS had a mediocre night. Both ways as in I thought they called things on us they shouldn't have and could have called a couple they missed, but also missed one or two on St L. But the BIG thing is the linesman and the face off. This is happening in every Blackhawk game I've watched too. It's like the guy with the puck figures it's his time to shine and dammit he's going to show everyone who's boss. In the NHL, they dick around so much on FO's that one game last week, I bet they kicked out a player in 75% of all FO's.

We don't watch games for the Refs/Linesmen.

My issue was more so with him saying the Griz are returning to dominant status.

You say "him" which got me wondering: How many women are on this forum?

Not trying to turn it into eHarmony.com, but am curious.

If we could just get a couple more guys back for this weekend, and then continue the same for the next few weeks.

And the next few weeks after that.

That's how many injuries are out there.

I can't imagine anyone who was ever brought in to be an offensive lineman has ever switched to LB, I'd think that is quite the spread!

I'm not saying he could, but he was not a huge OL and if he's struggling to put on the weight, he could be a BIG LB. But I get it, that he may have good feet for OL, but not LB.

"Senior A.J. Stockwell started at left guard and freshman Noah Mortel started at left tackle. This is a move to get Mortel valuable reps the rest of the season and have him ready to go for 2018. Both Mortel and Ryan Tobin have been consistent performers up front for UND so far this season"

It's exciting anytime you see freshman start and perform well. I'm excited to watch these two players along with Nguon get a lot of reps the rest of the year. Others I'll be watching closely the rest of the year will be Shannon, Canady and Hunt.

With so many underclassman playing key roles now because of injuries that wouldn't have originally, if they can be competitive in their upcoming games it's a great sign for years to come. Injuries derailed the team this year, but they could be stronger next season because of it.

Love to see the young guys compete. Heard Askew on the pregame show on my way to GF, and he noted that most of the guys would have been RS or for the non-RS rooks, would have been brought along a bit more slowly, but he loves that they are getting valuable game experience now. Hope they respond well the rest of the season and frankly, they are fun to watch.

Forgot to post about Torrey Hunt. Defensively, it appears he made a visit to the wizard last week. He was making tackles all over the field and was very aggressive. He did a really good job all game. Special teams he made some mistakes but his performance at corner was much more important.

About the KO return. We see the kicker avoid Santiago a lot (or did in that game).

Why don't they have Santiago and Hunt stand in the middle of the field and just have Santiago go to the side the ball is kicked?

  8. Spent a lot of time watching Hunt. He is a bull, built like a keg. Very aggressive on the run, but more than one time, his rush to the ball took him out position and the RB cut to the space he vacated. Still learning.

Can anyone tell me what Rooney did on the PAT? I heard the ref say "spiking" and must have either misheard as I don't know what that is that it merits a DQ.

It's called sarcasm.  However, had DU beaten ND in the 2016 semi-final, the "Fire Berry" thread would already be up and running.

Sorry didn't catch that, though mine was sarcasm too.

I was often on the Fire Hak bandwagon so I can see how that could happen. I may have been a bit more forgiving for Berry in his 1st year. Year 7, NOPE.

One thing I found very concerning is when Brady had that huge head to head collision at the goal line and was clearly knocked unconscious momentarily and they left him in the game. This is unacceptable. It was clear as day that he should have been subbed out and evaluated. Not only did they leave him in but they gave him the ball.

Leaned to the guys next to me and said the same thing. Surprised he wasn't taken out. JJ can handle those spots now.

Weird year for UND.   They dominated that game but literally cannot get any bounces to go their way this year.  UND dominated every statistic including turning it over

rudpolh almost resembled an offensive coach today.....in the first half.   Granted it was UNC, but it still looked alright.   Then the second half happened .... he  showed his true colors.   Predictable and no in game adjustments.    UNDs offense has almost looked alright against two very bad defenses ( Missouri st and UNC).

Und needed this win to stop the bleeding

Defense was all over their qb in the first half.....relentless!!

James needs more touches....the guy can play.  Rudolph disagrees.

I thought you may comment on Rudy. But I LOVED the third and final TD calls.

No need to put Brady on a sweep type play ever. He needs to head downfield.

AGREE on James. He was a man in the 4th quarter. WIth him and the Moose gonna be hard to spot. I think Santiago needs space and should be in the slot but I'm tired of sayin that.

Yeah, selling drugs to minors.  Hang'em.  It would stop in a hurry.  Talk to any law enforcement obout the drug problem.  It is booming, especially in MS and HS.

These players are barely past the age of minors. I'm opposed to the death penalty for anyone.
