His poor players don't know either because they apparently ran it incorrectly.

A lot of complex terminology for an offense that doesn't produce much ... (i.e., that's bad).

So you'd expect something more like "Button hook on 2, ready BREAK!"

With all the must win talk which I agree with, it just reminded me of one of my favorite comedy bits:  enjoy

Love Brian Regan. I've seen his show twice in Fargo.

Might be talking more about some people shitting on a player from time to time for not making plays they’re capable of or not being good enough in general. I’ll call a guy out of they aren’t playing to their level so I’m guilty of that. Nothing wrong with an honest critique of a player if it’s in line with reality and not a personal attack. Also, parents should know better than to put a lot of weight into what’s on a message board. That’s like basing your self esteem on your twitter profile, not a good idea.

I agree. Any parent should want their child to be challenged, to learn from their mistakes and accept adversity as a necessary part of life. If some of us get too loud in our critique of the kid for a bad play, I don't see how that could hurt their son.

  4. So I couldn't understand the reason for this thread till I read this post.

This is informative, but I suspect for those who want Bubba's head (and others) it will make no difference or they will suggest you and your sources are exaggerating.

    Is the 2019 recruiting finished?

Coaches were on the road this weekend recruiting. So I doubt they are done. Unless they were already working on next season.

  6. This is from the FCS Top 25 Scoreboard.  Is it helpful to our team that turmoil seems to rule the day in FCS?

Nearing the midway point of the regular season, the FCS conference races are full of intrigue and surprise teams.

Elon may not be considered a surprise in CAA Football, but the Phoenix had to take down James Madison's 20-game conference winning streak to forge a first-place tie with Maine, Towson and Rhode Island. Those four teams were picked fifth, eighth, 10th and 12th, respectively, in the conference's preseason poll.

Surprising Florida A&M sits alone in first in the MEAC, while Idaho State (Big Sky), ETSU (Southern) and Incarnate Word (Southland) are at least tied in the loss column in their conference standings.

They seem to start each episode with something a bit more personal to get to know the team. I like it. Reminds me of how young the freshman are and that the experience goes beyond the field.

Yes! Love the personal story and how this experience will stay with this young man forever.

  8. Watching the game now (thanks for the link). On the play before the high snap, Oliviera has a shot at a wide open field to his left, but instead lowers his head to plow forward for about 4 yards. In second quarter, same thing. He dives into the pile, and while he's a load to take down, he just needs to head toward the sideline and he'd be home free.

Did you see what he did? I missed that play, or they didn't show him. What happened? I mean, I kinda like that our QB gets a PF once in a while... but was it deserved?

He jumped the pile to push the runner forward. I thought it was a really close call, but I loved seeing our QB do that. Plus, he got involved in a scrum after he was going for the tackle on the Int. A guy on their team was called for a penalty.

Why not just crown UND now for handling the formidable 0-4 (now 0-5) Northern Colorado Bears?

Always able to find a cloud in every silver lining.

I wasn't thinking of firing Agnew.  Maurice seems to be a good coach though.  No reason both couldn't be on staff.

The context, however, was in regard to cleaning house and taking ewu people.  And someone said they didn't want us to have a run and gun style, I'm assuming, similar to the muss years.

2018 ewu isnt that.  And Maurice wouldnt be that either.

    That makes sense.

But if there is a coaching change, it sure seems wise to me to head south and take one of the guys on that team. I believe Klieman was in line last time.

  12. While our fan board is stuck on FIRE RUDOLPH and last week's debacle. I hated that game, but as this thread says, TIME TO MOVE ON.

What does UNC do well? Can they stop the run? Is it possible our D controls them?

I want Kevin Maurice back.  EWU is running the ball super well - averaging 291 ypg on the ground so far this year.  8th best in the country.

And Agnew seems good for our RB's. I think RB is the last coach to replace.

I just don't see the collective will to demand a winner.  It's easier to blame hockey, lack of phase II, the Bison out-recruiting us, poor luck, or fans who don'"support the coaching staff".

This is a common theme of another poster and one I don't comprehend.

I believe, if I read this correctly, if we are NOT today calling for Bubba's head, we are not part of the "collective will to demand a winner." I call BS. Everyone here wants a winner. Just not sure that calling for the head coach's head is the answer.

    Yet.
