The basketball threads have been unbearable. It’s the personal attacks when someone has a different opinion that make no sense to me.

The hockey board makes the angriest posters here look calm.

FBS drop-down DE McNaboe was a late May commit as well.

If you use the truth, it may disrupt someone's narrative on here. We can't have that. It shows weakness.

    This'll twist some neurons:

There's a prominent poster on the NDSU forum advocating NDSU return to ... a 3-4.

(The poster in question played LB at NDSU and got a law degree at UND.)

He was a year behind in LS. We played the annual Law v Medschool flag football game. He was FIERCE. Wanted to tackle anyone near him.

"This place means everything to me," Gaber said. "I've been so fortunate to get three years here. To have a fourth, and the opportunity that stands ahead, is pretty exciting.

Don't suppose the Coaching staff had anything to do with him thinking this place is special and means everything to him?

As good as Schiller is it will take more than one player - though a great point guard will make a big difference.

Another point guard to watch is Safranski from Fargo Davies

Last night Schiller would not be denied. She won that game for RR. She was better than Nistler who is headed to Nebraska. Kid has a  great motor and is really cool with the ball.

A QB should have the hands for WR. Can he run and run routes?

And I too hope this is a sign that one or more of Romfo/Feeney/Hackel figured it out over the winter.

I the article he notes that he lives with Schuster so he's hoping he will find him on some routes. Says the hardest part is the trench work.

Sorting through this list - if someone isn't participating in spring ball (injury, school conflicts) would they not be on the spring roster but still on the team? Several on this graduated or used up their eligibility correct.

Have we missed guys who went to the Portal?

    Thank you Judge Judy.
So now you have decided I’m “ignorant” and lazy because I question how you reach your conclusions. If that makes you feel better, good for you. I was only giving you an opportunity to give us any excuse to lend any credibility to your statements.

The longer you bang your head against the wall, the sooner you realize you aren't doing your head or the wall any good.

You're better than worrying about certain other's opinions.

My assumption is that Bubba steps down to D Coordinator, gives Danny the helm, brings in Bagwell to be the new O coordinator. Bubba’s legacy becomes instantly infamous!

    Wow!

How hard would it be for Danny to inform Bubba he wants to go 4-3

Maybe Bubba wanted to make a change to a 4-3 and Holinka saw the writing on the wall. Coaches should be able to coach in both schemes.

this is an opportunity to hire outside of the current staff and to hire someone to run a 4-3. Due to timing of the resignation we might not get either unfortunately…..

At the end of the season, Bubba announced he would not change from the 3-4

Inopportune timing for this, which means most likely promote from within.  Not sure that's ideal, defense has been underwhelming for quite a while.  Would like to see someone brought in that will abandon the 3-4.  Schwenzfier won't be doing that...........

If the HC philosophy is 3-4 you are not getting a DC to come in here and change that.

Tell me how this team makes the same mistakes game after game and the coaching staff can’t see it, any other coach would have sent three to the showers and played with five D , this coaching staff. Should be coaching high school.

    Seriously?

UND under Bubba is a 6 to 7 win/season program. That would suggest UND starts 2-1, and week 2 vs NAU will be a nail bitter. That shouldn’t be acceptable, though.

Have you ever pointed this out before?

    It looks familiar.

  14. I know it doesn't matter much to most, but the National Champs were down to UND by 14 early.

A WR missed an assignment, and they got a pick six, but UND was moving the ball well early that day.
That play sucked the momentum out of the game, yet UND lead at the half.

Look at the athletes at TE. Find a way to get them on the field at the same time. Our best athletes need an opportunity to play. We should be doing that during spring ball. Steckler comes to mind.

Gunderson too. Could he be a LB?
