UND hasn't, the geometric logo is what ESPN uses. They used it for the football championships, the selection show, anytime UND has the occasion to play on ESPN. I missed it last night, but someone said the used the current logo during the second period intermission piece they did last night. I offered my theory that it is ESPNs attempt to stay out of the nickname/logo issue.

They just spoke about each team has stickers on their helmets, Bemidji has an RL for the school shootings in Red Lake and Denver has a 28 in white, green and black for Robbie Bina. Then they talked briefly about Robbie.

My guess is it is ESPN's way of staying out of the logo/nickname issue as best they can.

Similar story for Wisconsin in the first round of the WCHA playoffs. The BADgers had to play at the old Dane County Coliseum because the State High School Girls Basketball Tourney was in the Kohl Center. Basketball has been a problem there since it opened, it was built as a dual purpose building, used to drive Sauer nuts.

Again, in light of yesterday's performance, the clip speaks volumes!

I picked Hrkac, pure magic to watch. I used to like to watch Scott Dub and Ian Kidd too. I think it is odd that of the 10 listed, 2 were in '87 and the rest are since '97, what happened in the 10 years in between? I notice most "write-ins" come from that time, was the program that much of a black hole? I was away from GF for most of those years and it was before the internet caught on, I didn't even get my first computer until '95, couldn't follow the Sioux like I can today.

There's a lot more to this than some players getting drunk an doing something stupid. The incident here in GF was the last straw in an on going saga between the Canisius AD and hockey program. I was suprised the AD wasn't ousted after the coach left in December.
