Rocco didn't want to use Cave and then lose him when you put Adrianza at first if it goes extras for Cron.
He has done it before. If you win the game there is no reason to worry about moves in the 10th.
Great start by Ode last night. Pitching with guys on all night and was tremendous in not letting the dam break.
Also wanted to mention Arraez. His triple was all knowing the scouting report on Puig being a block head with hitting the cut in the outfield and knowing he would try to throw it all the way to third. Twins have their second baseman for years to come.
I think in the future a guy like Smeltzer is a lefty specialist. Good location guy at times, but the second or third time through the hits are gonna pile up.
Win one of these last two to try and save some ground. Kluber comes back soon too.....
I have a feeling that "what if" may be muttered a lot when all is said and done with the 2019 Minnesota Twins.
Tremendous lineup. Great role guys. Looks like everyone likes each other.
Not getting a proven starter at the deadline will haunt them. If Pineda doesn't come back as the guy from the last two months and Smeltzer gets tagged a couple times this team won't make the postseason.
Has the shift worked at all this year? Like how many times have we seen a ball hit to where our second baseman should have been?
11-6 now. At least they didn't quit.
Terrible from Castro and Cave in that last half inning. Passed ball and then you let the tying run get to second base because you are worried about the runner that doesn't matter.
Then he gets a 2-0 cookie and grounds out.
Duffy-Romo-Rogers.....works for me.
Without that Rocco flub on Thursday in Miami and its 7 straight wins.....
Two of three against the Braves then split Cleveland.
Injuries be darned.....gotta play on. Two for two to begin this homestand. Go get a sweep today and head into Monday with Berrios on the hill against the Braves.
