Why can't a Sioux fan also be a fan of Holy Cross? Seriously, what's not to like about a program like Holy Cross, they're a bunch of highly respectable guys that went to college for school first, and to play hockey second (no scholarships) and they beat the best hockey team in the country when no one said that they could. When they won, it was victory in it's purest form.
I have a squirt that has a couple kids on his team, that believed because another team was better or had previously beat them, that there was no way that they could win. When my kid told me how the the other kids were talking before the game I gave him the "Holy Cross example" of how games aren't decided by who has the better record they're decided on the ice. To which he told his teammates when they were talking like that in the locker room.
The Holy Cross win over the Gophers just shows you that on any given night, any team can beat any team as long as you play with your heart.
It's one of those great feelings that makes you instantly smile when you think back on it.
DaveK, is that a Gopher jersey I see sticking out of the bottom of your Sioux jersey?
