We were watching the game on FSN, which means that we were listening to Woog and the other moron. When Phil lifted the puck into the stands they both went, "Woooooo" like it was something bad. They zoomed in on the Gopher fan that caught the puck....he had a HUGE smile on his face with the souvenier he just got from the shalacking that the Sioux took. They both went silent and then one of them said something to the effect of- that guy is pretty happy right now. The guy caught the puck and he was happy as heck that he got it. Grinning from ear to ear. For the Gopher fans to say that Phil nearly smacked someone in the head and he is malicious is a big fat joke.

Women lost in OT last night.....2-1. Sounds like a hard-fought game, wish we could have been there. Hopefully they are hungry tonight......

Okay, I don't think I ever told another Sioux fan to go f*** themselves, however, I did say it to a group of drunk middle-aged male Bison fans....

I was under the understanding that UND is in Grand Forks because Bismarck was given the choice and said that it would rather have the State Pen- at least the residents would be locked up.......

To All Student Season Ticket Holders: I was once a Univerity of North Dakota student standing, swearing, over indulging in alcohol and just plain making other teams feel not welcome in our house.......it was a very memorable time, that I would do over again without hesitation. I very rarely attend a game where I'm not looking at the student section and wishing I could be in the middle of it. I'm sorry that money has become such a big issue at hockey games....but that's what it all comes down to. MONEY. If it were up to me, you would have a majority of the lower bowl at Engelstad Arena. The rest of the lower bowl tickets would be given to actual hockey fans. I would love to see that place rocking......you know, like it used to.....back in the day. YOU are the University of North Dakota. It's YOUR University. It's YOUR football team, it's YOUR hockey team, it's YOUR basketball team. Without YOU there is no University. You haven't done anything more than what a lot of us used to do.......I hope that the University of North Dakota keeps this in mind when they discuss this matter with you. Canadian fans sound like they are really mature. But seriously, who was in The Ralph last year when they were drunk in the hallways yelling how they felt about the United States? From that display I expect nothing less when they actually host the tourney....... Everyone seems to hate the United States, until they need us, then they are our best friend. I remember one of the announcers talking about the display from the Canadian fans toward the United States players......and he said that these were kids playing a game, and you shouldn't show feelings for a government out on athletes. Which reminds me, Athens 2004- I listened to members of the Gold Medal Winning women's soccer team not too long after they came back, talk about how they were told not to wear anything that suggested they were American's outside of the Olympic Village.......for their own safety. Rulan Gardner was also given grief about taking a picture with an American flag in Athens.....and he said that he refused to put it away because a few people were offended by it. I wonder how things will go in Italy......

*snickers silently in the corner of this thread* Okay, anyone that knows me, knows I am in the center of the room howling laughing.

My favorite part of the Bronze Medal game was when the ref biffed it and slammed into the side of the goal with his ribs, knocking it off the post. *is still laughing* I love TIVO. I think I rewound it like 20 times and kept watching it......and everytime I watched I would laugh harder. He had to have bruised his ribs.

Ladies take on Vermont this weekend. New year......maybe they can turn things around.
