I think it all comes down to simply telling your children that they can be whatever they want in life, and no one should be able to hold them back. Also teach them that there is no use sitting around wallowing in self-pity because you think that someone wronged you......life's too short. Or sitting on your butt bitching and moaning because you think someone owes you something. That isn't how life works.

It's not two different things. But what you said was that UND is after a specific tribe and Mandan is a Native American term. You inferred that Mandan was different that UND......

Everything with Mamma Oz is fun....... And yeah, so far the results are a little less than I expected, but you still have to cheer for the Fighting Sioux. If we can take 4 points away from the St. Cloud series, that would be great.

Did you just do a 180?
-
Oh, so it's sweet with a tart tang, very juicy , and has tender, white flesh.
-
Riiiight. That's a pretty big coinkidink isn't it?
-
Hey KTF, what's up with the apple? Please explain it to everyone so they can be enlightened......

They just had a free girls' clinic on Monday night. They did autos after the clinic was over. The avatar won't stop talking about how much fun she had. I think it's easy to get young girls involved and excited like this........but getting their parents to take them to games is a whole 'nother battle.

Go Google the words "The University of North Dakota". OH MY GAWD!!!!! Look at the first response: The University of North Dakota | Grand Forks, North Dakota Home of the Fighting Sioux, The University of North Dakota in Grand Forks, North Dakota, invites you to learn more about the campus. Looks like your "conspiracy theory" on the University hiding the nickname, is unfounded. Maybe you should have done more homework before you came to Grand Forks. What did that take me like .04 seconds?

I was at the game last night...... Attendance stunk. But the avatar got a puck, so the night wasn't a total loss.

There was time left on the clock when it left Phil's stick. I still have the game Tivoed. Slap Shot, if you believe that the game was over, I'll gladly make you a copy of the video. The game was not over.
-
I was too busy sulking to get off the couch, find the remote, and turn it off. At least it ended the after the game was over dispute.
-
Did I make any excuses? No. Did I say he did it as an "in-game" play? No. The game was over for UND when it was 3-1, but the clock was still running when he flicked it into the stands.
-
I'm okay with that then. Funny how videotape can end something. We're on the bay side, so we didn't take the brunt of Wilma, and our resort has been open since Dec. 2nd. I guess they have made many much needed renovations to the place. Should be a good time!

The time matters because people were bitching about the game being over and Phil putting one into the stands, which obviously the game wasn't over. And, I'm glad that you're the SiouxSports police, I'll be sure in the future to PM you and make sure that you like it before I post something.

I love Tivo. So, now does that make it different? Also, the guy who took it off the shoulder was laughing and held the puck up to show everyone. What's the big deal?
-
Feeling's pretty mutual than. And, I just watched it over. Phil touched the puck with 2.8 seconds left, and shot it into the stands with 1.4 seconds left, so the game was not over.

It was seconds......take an aspirin so you don't have a major coronary.
-
It wasn't a 100mph+ slapshot. I can't believe some of you people are getting so worked up over this. Go get worked up over something worthwhile......like ending AIDS or poverty. It will make you feel better about yourself and actually do some good, rather than causing a heart attack. I bring my small children to games all the time. You run the risk of getting hit by pucks all the time.
-
It wasn't like it was ten minutes after the game is was seconds.......
-
You take the chance of being hit by a puck everytime you walk into an arena.
-
Not the same situation.
-
Diggler's right. It's not a big deal. The guy that got the puck was happy. End of story.
