I know that they can do it. Now, I'd like to see it. Maybe they need the chair-throwing speech that I gave to my team in my senior year when we lost in the regional.....hey that team went to state the next year, it must have worked.
-
I'd be happy with a win. Imagine how happy I would be with a sweep.

Scalping is legal in North Dakota.......that's why the Garth Brooks people limited the tickets to 8 per person back in the day. And why I paid so much to see Elton John. :|

Am I in the right thread? Discussion? Maybe I should start drinking margs in the afternoon more often. Thanks for the scholarship info, I didn't know that before. I wish I knew what the answer was on the wins. That's probably a big reason why I'm not a coach, and I have no desire to be one. Question is, how long does the Athletic Department wait before heads start to roll?

You people bore me. *takes another drink of my margarita* It's 5 o'clock somewhere......... No one has anything to say?

Friday Gopher Game Tickets Wanted
HockeyMom replied to HockeyMom's topic in Tickets wanted / for sale
I'm good, thanks. -
I missed Friday's game because of the avatar's hockey schedule. But I went to last night's game....and I have this to say. The women left EVERYTHING on the ice last night. They hung with the Gophers for ALL three periods. I was impressed.

This month away game stretch has been WAY too long for me. I feel a little lost. 2 wins would be GREAT before Minnesota next weekend. I can't wait to get back into the Ralph next weekend.
-
I hope they show unbiased and fair reporting on both sides of the issue. *starts laughing* That will happen.

Were you in the crowd behind us? I swear too much, you probably don't wanna sit by me. Believe me there have been times when I've wanted to scream this season........but is it really worth it? Probably not. There are so many intricacies that make hockey a beautiful game. A two-line pass to a forward open on mid ice, a three on one that gets broken up by the defender.....a glove save on a point blank slapshot. A Maine player hitting her head on the glass right in front of us and falling.....hard. Mini Me finally starting to bang on the glass in front of us. Put a fraction of a second longer on the clock in St. Cloud, we win. A shot goes our way in Wisconsin, we win. Hockey is a game of inches sometimes, you just have to hang on eventually your team will get that big win that opens things up. I guess I'm just thankful that there is a women's team to support.....and it's important for my daughter to see it. (the little turd snagged a hat trick in termite practice scrimmage on Friday She stick handled around another player on the second goal, yes it was slow motion, but beautiful nonetheless.) San Diego won in OT yesterday....and all of their losses this season have come in the waning minutes....if that can happen, anything can happen.

27 YEAR DROUGHT ENDS IN NEW JERSEY!
HockeyMom replied to JESUS,family, rutgers's topic in Men's Hockey
Who crapped in your Cornflakes? -
Went to the game last night. Looked like a decent turnout. The game was pretty fast-paced and the Sioux fought hard, they just came up short. There were a couple punches thrown too....I kinda liked it. UND had like very few shots in the first period but eventually out-shot Maine. Maine's goalie just seemed like a huge brick wall. Next up are the Gophers.......

27 YEAR DROUGHT ENDS IN NEW JERSEY!

Congrats JFR. -
I'm looking for two Gopher tickets December 9th......anyone? Thanks.

The WCHA is also a tough as nails conference. Not an easy place for a young team to be when trying to build a program..... I have no idea what Maine's team is like, but it should be a series that the Sioux take seriously, given that Rivard and Froats both have ties to the Black Bears. We won't be at tonight's game......but will be there tomorrow afternoon, supporting the Sioux as usual. Should be fun.

That shirt is absolutely terrible. I hope no one buys one.

ME! ME! Is it three yet so I can leave?!?! If heaven isn't like my plans for this weekend, then I don't wanna go: Sioux hockey, Sioux hockey, Sioux hockey, skating on the new ice in the hometown rink to break it in, and Sioux hockey.
-
About to head out for the men's game and then we will hit the women's game tomorrow. I'd like to see as many Sioux fans as possible in town for the men's game to come out and check out the women's team. Face off is at 2:07 both Saturday and Sunday. They're playing #2 Minnesota-Duluth. The last time these two teams met, it took UMD overtime to defeat the Sioux. GO FIGHTING SIOUX!!!!!

Didn't even think about the ticket exchange yesterday, just posted that I needed tics....and got some pretty dang quick. There is a kind of comraderie on here that you're not going to find in the ticket exchange. I would rather give tickets to a fan than someone who doesn't know what's going on, or care for that matter. Maybe that's just me.

Young team, early in the season, bad loss.....learn from it and move on.
-
I have to disagree with the spoiled thing. All of these players know how great of a place UND is. Some of them have dreamed of playing for the Sioux for years. They also know that nothing is going to be handed to them here. You don't work hard.......see ya!
-
Well ya got the date that the Patrol was founded right. That was pretty good.
-
Well then, your first experience at The Ralph was about as good as mine........Oct. 21, 2001.

The Native American on the NDHP logo is Red Tomahawk. It was officially adopted by the Patrol in 1951. He became a friend of the whites and was highered as a government policemen and actually arrested Chief Sitting Bull when the North Dakota settlers believed Sitting Bull's ideologies were harmful to them. Sitting Bull ended up dying in the battle that ensued when his son discovered he had been arrested.

Ticketmaster is evil. They charge like $6.25 a ticket processing fee, a $2.50 venue fee, and another $2.10 to email your tickets to you. Call the Ralph box office.
