  1. I tuned out after the game on Saturday and haven't read anything until today.  This team has too many unforgiveable mistakes taking place, and they all have to do with coaching.  To me, the biggest one on Saturday was coming out of halftime and having to take a timeout before running your first play.  I don't know how that happens.  It shouldn't, period.  Did any of the media ask Bubba about this?  Unfortunately this coaching staff have a habit of questionable calls, use of time outs, undisciplined penalties.  It is what it is and I don't expect it to change under the current leadership.

Wasn't the apartments on Demers and 2nd supposed to be converted into a HoDo type of hotel?

At one time there was talk about the St. John’s building being converted to a boutique hotel.  Not sure what happened but those plans were scrapped.

  3. I noticed a new sign for the Olive Ann hotel was put up in the parking lot next to the Edgewood building.  Haven’t heard much about the project lately, but it appears they are planning to go forward with it still.

  4. Good game on Saturday, tough loss.  Especially considering the three or four mistakes everyone’s already mentioned.  Time fir the team to put that one behind them and get ready fir the Yotes.

Only question left from the NDSU game is: “Will the pollsters count that as a ‘UNI’ type quality loss??

How did they get Combs and Church two weeks apart?

I know the Combs concert was postponed from last year.  Not sure on Church. I believe it was a new tour this year.   So I'm sure it had to do with routing of the two tours.

The pregame video and introductions weren’t good

timing was so bad, by  the end of the video there should be no lull and go,right into the team coming out’, that didn’t happen so the stadium is silent until they come out

And don't get me started on the National Anthem.  Not sure that it's the Alerus Center's fault but the singer starting before the color guard had the the flags displayed was pretty disgraceful.

Anyone take in some live music on the Greenway last weekend? HB did a great job and Saturday was a really good time!

I went on all four days.  Agree that Saturday was a lot fun.  Huge crowd for Trampled By Turtles.  Really enjoyed Thursday and Sundays shows as well.  Did not make it to the earlier bands, just the headliners.  Soul Asylum was pretty decent also.  HB has done a great job growing the event.  September weather is always tricky.  Wish they would do it a couple weeks earlier, but this year the weather was fantastic.  Looking to what they have in store for next year.

We get to see a potential top 5 pick in Patrick Baldwin play in person? Not bad

In looking at the DI docket website, it appears we are on the road against Milwaukee.  Not sure if it changed or was an error when it listed it as a home game earlier.

I disagree with the stadium issue.  Given the current size, they can leverage ticket scarcity by keeping ticket prices high while still bein able to effectively sell out every game and have an awesome atmosphere.  I don't see how a bigger stadium is needed at all when they already generate more ticket sales than any school in the MAC, Sun Belt, or CUSA, not to mention half of the MWC.  They can renovate the dome to add suites or club seats as well, so $200 million for a new stadium seems like a hell of risk to me -- for what reward?  I'd really like to see a hypothetical financing/business analysis on this.  Also, disregarding any financial risk, the home field advantage at the new stadium would undoubtedly be worse, which I believe would actually cost NDSU W's at some point.  It's a TOUGH place to play at for a road team... we've all seen it.  I'll refrain from comparing the Fargo Dome to the basketball arenas at Gonzaga or Duke, but you get the point.

One thing that has always bothered me about the Fargodome is their narrow sidelines.  There is not a lot of room from the sideline to the stands.  Not sure if an FBS conference would be concerned about that or not?  Would they consider it a safety issue for their players?

"Roxies Bar and Grill coming soon" sign in the Riverwalk Centre.

They've been working on this for quite awhile.  They are remodeling the lobby area of where the second set of theatre's are located.  So across from the main lobby of the theatre (where you purchase tickets).  Hopefully that makes sense!

  11. Anyone know if a home game with SIU was a part of the two games that were scheduled in Carbondale?  SIU has a player from Winnipeg and I had seen speculation that SIU may have been looking for a game close Winnipeg for that player.

I have offered a talented sophomore out of SD - it would be great to get a player from that state.  They produce some very good talent.  Not sure whether she has had other offers yet but I like the fact that we are getting to talented players early on!

F Hilary Behrens, 6', Brandon (Brandon Valley), SD

She averaged 17+ PPG & 5.5 RPG for her 17-7 team.

So you are an assistant coach???  :D

I believe the NCAA's rule of 25% ofthe  seats is still in place for the 1/4er final round?

Nope, they raise it to 50% starting this week.  Virginia as a state, only allows 30% currently.  Either way, sounds like a Sunday night game at JMU will struggle to hit 30% as a lot of their attendance drives in for the game.  I’d guess their attendance will be around 6k, similar to their game against VMI,

    I missed that thanks

Looks like Virginia has 30% capacity, so attendance may go up a bit.  Will be fun to see how we stack up against one of the better FCS programs.

That's 25%  now the limit is 50% so should be more.

The state of Virginia has upped their restrictions for large events, but from what I’ve read, it doesn’t go into effect until May 15th.  So they may still be capped at 25%, unless something changes this week.
