Just wanted to wish all the hockey Mom's and Sioux fans who are mothers a Happy Mother's Day! Thanks for everything you do!

My kind of guy! I told my family back in 1996 that I want to be buried in my Sioux jersey. I'm glad to see others share my frame of mind.

Parise and Commodore exchanging words in today's Carolina/Devils game. Zach skates away laughing, didn't see Mike's expression. Devils finally decided to show up for a game today.

I still disagree that it was goaltender interference, as Gomez tripped over Ward's pad, which was outside the goal crease, causing Gomez to fall into Ward. They just didn't want Zach to have the goal!

Just saw that the Parise's shot went off Commodore's stick first, than Gomez's stick. Weird play, but this is hockey!

Zach Parise just scores with 20 seconds left in tonights Carolina/Jersey game. Now they may be giving the goal to Gomez as the puck went off of him, but Zach made the play! Edit: Carolina scores with 3 seconds left. Going to OT. Zach and Mike C. have went head to head a few times tonight. Fun stuff to watch!

Commodore was a bit hesitant to fight Jannsen for a couple of reasons. First, his team was up by 4, and felt no need to go at that time. Second, and this is my opinion, Jannsen packs a punch and Mike's aware of that. You can see throughout the entire fight that Mike uses his reach advantage to stay away from Janssen's punches. Commodore has really developed into a strong defenseman this year, while Janssen's role is to fight. With that being said, I'm sure Mike still realizes that he will have to display physical presence at times, but I don't expect to see it a lot during their playoff run. This fight occurred because Carolina was up by 4, and for no other reason.

I remember watching Lee his first two years at UND. He was highly touted coming in, and he contributed very little. It was really frustrating to watch him, so I can imagine how he felt. I don't think I'll ever forget hearing Blais yell, "Lee!!! Lee!!!" over and over again his first season, to the level where nearly everyone in the arena could hear him.

Edmonton always seems to be dangerous in the first round of the playoffs. I don't mind as I've always hated the 'Wings.

Canadians don't have paper bills for one or two dollar bills. I've NEVER been to one of these places you speak of, so I don't know the answer to your question, but if Canadians are tucking bucks, That girls shorts are getting pretty heavy after one song, or coins are falling everywhere!

I debated for a while whether or not to include those highlight goals (not easy for me to watch either). In the end, it came down to them still being Sioux players, and it showed Sioux Pride in a game where they never gave up.

The problem isn't on your end, but rather on mine. Give me a little time, and I'll try to get it back up and running to help get us through the dreadful summer months.

Besides Miss Mutrie, my favorite has to be Zach. Most likely due to me being in school at the time he came to UND. Had I been at UND in the 80's, I'm sure it would have been one of those guys. I've followed him closely throughout his career since arriving at UND, moving on to Albany (listening to nearly every game on Internet Radio), and now watching all but two of his games on NHL Center Ice. He's a fun kid to watch, simply because of his work ethic. As far as someone not as popular as Zach, I always liked Brian Canady, and I'm not afraid to admit that (SoDak Sioux Fan!). He didn't get the ice time that I wished he would have, but he played a tough game. Sure, it led to some penalties (some of them dumb), but I always enjoyed watching him play. My other favorites were Teeder Wynne and David Hoogsteen, and of course, Mike Commodore (whose fun at the bars too ). The list could go on, but I'll let it go at that.

Good interview as usual (compliments of Shattuck's "Public Speaking" classes). Zach glad to have the first one out of the way, and happy to be fitting in on the team.
