No but I thought I saw this year she was graduating early and done with basketball.

I think hockey would be harder but I agree do hockey too!

The only leverage we have right now is our football programs. If want the summit to get stronger we use football to make the whole league stronger. I really believe this is what Fenton is doing or at least hopeful. The Missouri valley won't let us in for our other sports. Well then take our football programs out and weaken their football conference.

You take out the Dakota schools how good is the MVFC ? They can use a football league to strengthen the core sports namely basketball by Bringing in the Texas schools from the WAC that want to strengthen their football programs. Or use it as leverage to bring other strong schools into the summit.

Does anyone know if they charge for tickets for softball? Looking on the website they dont have a tickets option for home games, but away games there is a ticket option. Thought about maybe taking a game in this weekend. Never thought about softball before, but with this new stadium I have some interest.

Maybe he didn't want her ? She didn't make 1st or 2nd team. Pemberton did. Not saying she wasn't good. But she played alot for herself too.

Purposeful just confirming she was trouble to team chemistry. Watching her all year she never gave high five to teammates. Never helped up a teammate that fell. Reading the article in the forum today said it will be nice to not be the focal point like we had no one else on team. She seemed very full of herself in article in my opinion.

You don't honestly think she won't get booed? We are adults and so is she. She made an adult decision. I hope it was a good one for her but to think we should all cheer for her now is crazy. Lots of rumors about her family getting involved with the team and I can't believe it is all false. You almost seem like a family member. I'm here for coach Hutter and I hope he can turn this thing around and I think in time he will.

What time line ? I agree with you. I dont have any inside information but from what I see her dad must have been getting in with the team. Could Josie and her family turned the rest of the team against the coaches ? A Twitter post hints she and her family were angry that Mal offered another grand forks girl that the Schillers felt wasn't deserving and that Josie was the only star of grand forks.

Koenen already said she is staying another year. I agree though Josie will be fighting for time with Frost. This just shows you what happens when you have the right coach in place. Jory didn't lose any of his top players as of yet. We lost our whole team. I do wonder now from what I'm hearing if Josie and her family were a cancer on the team.

Jory is a great coach and he brought NDSU out of the toilet. I was jealous our incompetent AD couldn't find us a coach like that. That being said Jory demands alot out of his players. He has driven some out by how tough he is. I think Josie might find she isn't starting or getting the minutes she got here. But maybe she wants to play for a coach like that. He has a winning mentality. Mal has been a mess since she was hired and Chaves couldn't figure that out and offered an extension to her. He destroyed this program

If players can leave when they want can we get rid of players that didn't work out ? Hint Bismarck kids. Taking up scholarships for players that don't deserve them. If we have only 2 scholarships left we are in big trouble

She might find out the grass isn't always greener. They have a great freshman in Frost that she might be playing behind. Paul Bruns got freshman of the year and in his senior year he wasn't even starting. Onward to other players. I lost alot respect for Josie.

I dont think we need to take chances on high school players. We should be raiding the D2 schools for their best proven players and taking Power 4 players not getting playing time wanting to come down. Unless a high school player can contribute that year there is no reason to take chances. I believe both Century players were offered to soon and both are a bust in my opinion. We have to act like the Power 4 is doing to us and get the best talents from the divisions below us or grabbing experienced players from the power schools that drop down.

I do want to say though I feel Coach Hutter is a good hire. I think it was because of him only that this team seen any improvement this year. I feel he deserves a shot to see what he can do. He has never coached at this level either, if there is no improvement in 3 years we move on. We dont keep extending coaches that dont deserve to be!

Bottom line Chaves is to blame. He should have fired Mal a long time ago and now has basically blown up the program. Mal couldn't even keep a grand forks girl who grew up having dreams playing for university and is now considering going to its biggest rival ? How blind can Chaves be? Mal has sunk women's basketball way more then Sather has in men's and he has taken men's down pretty low. Maybe once Sather totally destroys the mens teams he will hire the assistant men's coach.

Why are you so confident it will pass this time ? I'm not confident enough in our legislature that they are forward enough thinking to get anything passed with something like this. The state is so narrow minded.

I hope Josie stays, but her Twitter post didnt seem like she was just exploring options, it was a good bye.
