Not trying to pile on, should have made my point better. Probably should have said..Who in the Athletic Dept thought that hiring a coach with a 500 winning percentage was the right guy to lead the program into the future?
My point was that he says UND has to better at many things. Recruiting being a key area. He has a valid point if you ask me. As far as everything else.. I'm Switzerland.
He did mention recruiting and it seems like the school to the south is getting the commits they want, so he has that going for his arguement. Also, according to the Fargo Forum most of those recruits have bigger offers.
Well damn. When is it gonna start as it looks like the top talent in the state is going south. I know they messed up on Belquist but it seems like the pattern is continuing?
I for one agree with most of your statements on the program. The school to the south also does a lot of hiring from within, deference is that they've been winning and have proven that it works for them. Here, not so much.
Bingo. One has to look no further than the 2023 commit list. Very few with offers other than D2 schools, just one or two with offers from other MVFC teams. I know offers aren't everything but it certainly has to make a difference if other FCS or even FBS teams are looking at these players.
Team has to go in and prove they belong. Every FCS power school has had to go on the road and prove themselves at some point. They had to start somewhere!
