Makes complete sense now that I think about it. "DUDE, I'm losing my buzz, lets go drink at my place and watch the rest on TV!" People will say this is sad, and can't you go a few hours without drinking. Go back in a time machine and ask yourself that question when you were 18-22. Do we lose students from hockey games for this reason? Those games prob average 2 hrs and 20 minutes or so, not much shorter than a UND Football game. Edit: The students are hardly the only ones leaving by the way, the general public has a very similar "leave early" rate I would say. It is just easier to see the students being gone because they are concentrated in one area. Idea for Dave Primus: Give away $100 or a donated prize with limited time to go in the 4th quarter. Randomly pick a ticket that was scanned in for that game. You have to present the ticket within 30 minutes of the game being over to claim your prize. If you can't do it by seat location, have students enter their name in a drawing and show ID if their name is picked. For general public, you could do seat location. Some variation of this could work. I know they use the free tuition for a year promotion, do something on a smaller scale.

They have been nearly sold out in the past 2 games, but leave early. There is obviously something better happening, I guess they can't sneak booze into the game and stay and drink there like I did in the old days.

I don't disagree that Montana will move the ball, but what is different about your pass D this year? You gave up a Big Sky record amount of yards to a QB and WR. (Montana State shut the same duo down immediately after)

I watched the SDSU coaches show last night, and Stig flat out said that they didn't defend the run at times. He said if UND had any sort of ground game, they will be a very scary team. YEP, we all agree Stig!

UND Football MUST run backs other than Jake Miller. MUST. Do these other guys have issues holding onto the ball in practice? Do they not block as well or better than a 165 pound speedster? Are they in the doghouse? Why won't Muss and staff throw out different backs to mix things up? I like Miller, but he isn't a feature back. Please, UND Football staff, give Shaugaby and Sparks, maybe Varner a few snaps. Please.

The team that moves the ball and scores more points than the other will win this game. BOOM!

I get a kick out of the bison fan who took the time to figure out, or look up UND's average offensive output last year. For a team on top of the world, who doesn't care about UND, it sure is interesting. I see this all the time on message boards, on blogs written by NDSU and Fargo media, and out in public from NDSU fans. I hate the gophers, but talk minimally about them, and really don't know their stats year to year, or who they played, etc.

I base my prediction on last year only. I remember the nightmare of 600+ rushing yards given up to Montana State, and the other horrible performances. Gosh I hope I'm wrong and there is improvement.

I have a large collection of player pins, from 1984-1990 or so. Anyone collect these? Is there a market? Not sure I would sell them, just curious though.

This is exactly the route that I would take. Need a few deeper pocket alums to buy up a bunch of blocks of 30, and sell to fellow Sioux fans.

If DU thinks that will keep UND fans out of Magness, they are delusional! If I lived in the area, I would buy the package, attempt to sell the non-UND games, and just bite the bullet if they didn't sell. You ain't keeping UND out of that building DU! I love how this makes them look so scared! (of fans)

You see UND vs SDSU and think of the old days where UND handled the Jacks most of the time. This is NOT the SDSU of old, obviously. I have no feel for what is going to happen in this game. Can't wait to watch it!

It doesn't bother me when people leave in a blowout. It's when they leave in a close game that blows my mind.
