This was in the Mankato paper over the weekend. "Downtown Mankato: One drunk short of a riot" After being around the downtown Mankato area this weekend, I could easily see a riot occuring. Drunk idiots everywhere!

Any chance there will be highlights posted from saturday's game? Anyone record it??

Back from the game/postgame bars. As dagies posted, us Sioux fans had a great time here in Mankato. From the third period to exiting the arena, as you could probably hear on the radio/tv, we had quite a bit of fun. The Ole, sweep, lets go sioux, etc chants in the stands, and in the concourse as we left was one of the best times I've had as a Sioux fan. For folks who haven't made a road trip, you are really missing out. As far as the bars afterwards go, most people were pretty nice, we had about 5 or 6 drunk guys say "f the sioux or sioux is a girls name", we just laughed them off and said we beat you guys, yet again. Most Mankato fans are pretty apathetic, they know where they rank in the world of college sports. Great weekend, keep it up against AA!

Officially in Mankato now. Hope to see lots of green at the Alltel Center tonight! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year's fight One of the funniest moments I have ever seen in a hockey game was when Kaip took a few punches to the head, knew he couldn't get DQ'd again, but looked at Hak asking permission to fight against Bruess. Priceless.

Snappy names aside, that trio really intrigues me.

Good pickup for the gophers, this one doesn't hurt my feelings too bad though. I wasn't that impressed when I watched him play, but he has great size and a good shot if I remember right.

Sounds like another great recruit! Welcome to UND! I saw many of the Midget tourney guys walking around on Friday during the Sioux game, a bit wide-eyed, how could that NOT impress you and make you want to play here? Great recruiting tool.

Will the jerseys also be at Mettler's after?

Penalty boxes are right in front of sec 103, benches are sec 116-118, I see on ticketmaster they don't have a 'hockey setup' among the choices for seat map.

1. Sioux fans will be all over, but the main sections we are in are 100, 101, 102, 200, 201, 202, 300, 301, 302. Tickets in those sections still remain by the way. 2. Unless things have changed since the last time the Sioux were there, they serve beer and mixed drinks at the arena. 3. Fans will be staying all over, the Holiday Inn is popular because it is so close to the arena and the bars. We have stayed at the Econolodge and Best Western in the past. 4. Some good places before the game would be Buffalo Wild Wings, Bluebricks and Pub 500. You always see a ton of Sioux fans at BWW and Blue Bricks before and after games. All are within a few blocks of the arena.
