About the admins, I have checked out your board, I think your mods do too much. I think Jim has the perfect balance, people can write freely, if things start getting out of hand, a mod warns about it, if it continues, the person is banned. (see "proudsioux" for an example )

I've seen a few Mankato fans when I go to the road games down there...they are rare in number though, that's for sure.

O' Donnell was also here awhile ago for a series, I can't remember which one, but I saw him being walked around with I assume his dad and Coach Jackson one saturday morning by the Sioux Shop and ticket office. I only know because Coach Jackson mentioned his name and I thought of the movie "Coyote Ugly", with Mr. O Donnell...anyone remember?

Not sure if this is posted elsewhere. On Tim and Swyg on KFAN this morning, Malone and Martens were on. Tim discussed the weekend, and one topic was the Jones incident. Here is what the players said, and I am paraphrasing: Trupp was butt ended by Lucia. They said of all people, Trupper wouldn't lay on the ice and fake it, as he crawled off with a broken leg and bad shoulder already in his UND career. He is a tough kid. They said Lucia agreed to a fight at or around the faceoff, and when Jonesy dropped em, he skated away. They said Jonesy wasn't in his rage blackout stage until he saw Lucia skating away. (Malone added that if he saw Jonesy wanting to fight, he'd run away and tip the net over himself for protection) One of the players mentioned he had heard what Hill said about it being classless, Tim and the players all agreed that when Lucia agreed to fight and then skated away was classless in the sport of hockey, inferring that you have to respect the "code". Very interesting stuff.

That would not surprise me at all. I would guess a few gophers wanted to transfer after those 2 games and the amazing atmosphere.

Normally, I'd be very worried about this series after a big couple of wins against minny. That 2-1 embarrassment at the GLI should do wonders for this team, I predict a SWEEP! Split against these guys, and the sweep of UMN-TC doesn't mean much in the standings.

For DAVE K This might help explain what we are all saying Dave. Yes, it is written for the NHL, but it also applies to the situation against the Gophers.

I love it, these clowns say how great it was that Stoa went after Hextall on Friday, after being ordered by Hill. Remember, Stoa crosschecked Hextall into the gopher goalie, then crosschecks him to the head, sits on him, etc. Switch to saturday, Lucia spears Trupp, you know Jones talked to him, said "lets do this", Lucia likely said yes, Jonesy drops the gloves, rips the helmet off, NHL style, Lucia skates away. Jonesy manned up, Lucia showed exactly what he and all the gophers are: SOFT. The gophers have no guts, it showed on the ice for 120 minutes this weekend. Their MO for years has been to talk, hit after the whistle, and use their sticks to slash and jab. When someone tries to fight them, when they say enough is enough, lets settle this like men, they have NOT answered. Jones did exactly what he needed to do, that is the code of hockey.

Everytime the Sioux play the Gophers, I lose more respect for the Gopher hockey team and their "fans". How in the world can gopher fans be running their mouths, on the road, after watching their favorite squad get dismantled by their number 1 rival? Well, they did. Many of the gopher fans I met were classless jerks who really didn't know that much about the game of hockey. Folks from the cities and also the FSN and KFAN broadcast crews said some really nasty things about our town, our state, our team, our school, etc. I am really really glad to be a GF and a ND resident. I love what we have going here and I wouldn't trade it for the world. GO SIOUX! WHAT A SWEEP BABY!!!!!!

What a game, what a weekend! Jonesy and Lucia were jawing, my guess is they agreed to drop em, NHL style. Jonesy followed through, Lucia pussed out in a major major way. One word for the weekend: DOMINATION

I really agree that they are a 1 line team...I didn't see much from anyone else. Damn, Fairchild is awful too, maybe just a bad game.
