Without a 30 year agreement penned, does this mean anything? The State Board required the 30 year mandate, not the NCAA, so is it truly needed??? Regardless, this should push the Oct 1st deadline back. Thank you to the tribal council for LISTENING to their people.

Our game will be televised in the ND area on Saturday, but i will for sure be flicking back and forth to the Texas Tech game. Beat Texas!

For football, the Canad Inn has been my best bet. It is attached to the Al and has 4 places in it to eat/drink. I like Tavern United, it is a sports pub atmosphere and serves green beer before the games! If you can tailgate, that would be #1 though.

St Cloud and Maine going to OT. The Maine announcers just said St. Cloud receiver looks like Jerry Rice. Fred Williams is his name, has 14-171 !!!

It is cool to see St Cloud up on Maine in the 4th. 24-20 with 8:42 to go. Back and forth game kind of reminds me of our trip to N. Iowa. I believe St Cloud has around 25 scholarships, where Maine has 62 or so.

Sounds like home up here in the Red River Valley of the North. People not from here always give me crap about the flat land, I tell them: you can't grow crops or raise livestock on mountains...but 'dey sure is purdy to look at ain't dey! (the latter part is said in my best hillbilly voice) From reading Tech posts on this board and their own, I think our two towns/areas have a lot in common.

Man, watching those highlights gave me chills. We need the game back, ASAP.

Been to the dome plenty of times for Twins games, glad for the outdoor switch next year (in months when it isn't 50 degrees out). I am not a huge baseball fan, even though I've watched it all my life. The reactions to my original post are why the Twins will struggle to win another world title. Fans should be fed up with the mediocre product put on the field year after year. When have the Twins spent any money to go get help? That is the part that frustrates me. Year after year, the Twins are a near .500 team, but because they are in a horrible division, they compete for a playoff spot, only to get beat by a team from the east or west. The Twins would be in 4th place in the AL East right now. If the fans keep showing up, the team has no real incentive to spend money and buy a few better players. Like I said, not a big fan, but enough of a fan to be sick of the ways things are going for the franchise on the field.

I was at the Twins game tonight... what a waste of money! The venue, the product on the field. I am sad that I wasted my money to see the Twins. That said, it was great meeting all the Sioux fans tonight, we had a LOT of fun. I am super happy I don't live in the cities though, what a sad excuse of a team on the field and a poor experiece at the dome. Pretty sad stuff. GO SIOUX!

Thanks to the Tech posters for the insight! This game, along with the move to FCS, is bringing our football program into the spotlight on campus, closing the gap between it and the hockey program.

You are missing the point. Yes, maybe we missed a chance to play UMN-TC in some future game in 2012. BUT, we(the SIOUX fan posters on this SIOUX board) don't care. There are many many other FBS teams out there!

Congrats Denny! One has to wonder if the ice conditions will suffer now that "the master" is gone. He could stay on as a consultant and make a little money on the side.
