One of the worst things you'll hear was said tonight by a gopher "fan". When he was getting in a Sioux fans face, the sioux fan asked where the gophers will be in a week, the gopher fan said: at least we won't be sandbagging our houses (i am paraphrasing). College hockey is just a game, like Sagard said somewhere else. That comment is low beyond low, in the opinion of this '97 flood "survivor". Damn, I'm glad and proud to be a North Dakotan! SIOUX FANS: Make the trip down to the Cities, tickets will be very very cheap as many gopher fans were already trying to sell them tonight. The next two days down here are going to be very very fun. We went to the bars in St. Paul, then a suburb 30 miles away, and saw Sioux fans everywhere. It's great to be a part of this fanbase! GO SIOUX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By crew, I believe it was meant camera, production, etc. The camera guy that sits by us told us he does Wild games and really likes covering the Final Five due to the passion. He basically said Wild games are snoozefests compared to the FF. We could only hope that the broadcast team isn't Frank "The Rug" (Wooger is okay for a Pat Summerall-like, sometimes lucid perspective)

This is the same thing I've been telling people. The PairWise will tell us who is in, and who is out. How many years in a row now has USCHO got the top 16 right on Sunday morning before the committee announces the bracket? Because we have the Pairwise, the "smoke filled" rooms of the past are now gone. In the past, those committees would have found a way to get MN in as they are a host school, simply doesn't happen anymore, that is why I'm thankful for the way things are now.

Dakota Bookstore in GF has the "swift" replicas made by K1, they are much sharper, in my opinion, than that actual Nike Swifts. (They have a larger logo, and it is the detailed one with the "Brien" visible on the feather) They also make a white version that is sharp. These are on sale now for $69, regular $89. Pick one up for the Final Five!

McGoverns is always a solid choice, decent amount of room in there. Park along 7th street somewhere by Tom Reid's, walk to the bars on 7th. That is the best bet and most fun.
