I don't know if I would go as high as 7, but close. However, with out new arena I would say we still have atmosphere that is several times better than the DECC. Do you think the new arena would also make it worse like it did for us, or improve or stay the same?

Do you seriously need to ruin a thread about a missing student?
-
There were two reported attacks, correct? Was the other one real?

How about when he lets you borrow his Mapletoft Award?

It appears that nothing was found this weekend, and the search is over until spring.

I will never understand why college gives the automatic bid to the conference tourney winner, and not the winner of the season. I believe it is wrong and it allows teams to take it easy during the season.

I'm not sure if Dataflix or FSSN showed it, but there were taped segments of the Bulldog players in the penalty box. I only caught one for the player putting on makeup and another time the guy was holding a cat. It is funny how the scoreboard is used to make fun of the ref and other players, but they refuse to show "controversial" calls.

Wow, Campion had a bad game tonight. Normally he has been the best ref. Brandt was scored on by a 2 on 0, 2 on 1, and 1 on 0. The D clamped down and Parise didn't have to do too much, and struggled with rebounds. I think Brandt should play. Marvin needs to go, and Bina didn't do crap. Bring in Nick and Foyt. The Money Line scored on the PP, yet they were broken up for 5 on 5. Bring back the Money Line. The other option is to put Prpich on the line because he has the offensive ability, and he could also beat the crap out of people that mug Parise and don't get a penalty for it. Lundbohm said UMD only played 3 lines, so they should be tired tomorrow. The crowd was pretty sad tonight. The Psych Out Award goes to REA. They handed out little cards that I expected to complain about standing again, but it was just an attempt to get people to go to the basketball games.

We have started out crappy for all but one game at home, so you are probably right.

What does your hatred towards Goldy and mascots have to do with WPos? As far as the forum, it is not an exclusive club where you have to like the Sioux. This forum would suck if everyone had the same opinion. I wish more people supporting other teams would come here with quality discussion.
-
I think you could have said it like this and I would have agreed with you and found good discussion in it. I will put in italics what you could change to your new suggestion. Was at the game last night, a Sioux Fan threw something on the ice he took from Goldy. It happened during a injury TO but Goldy started it during the gameplay. The guy should have known he would have to put up with crap for wearing a Sioux jersey in the student section, but I don't know about being taunted during gameplay. I think the the guy is a yutz and got what he deserve when he was removed from the areana. So what does everyone think of people throwing things on the ice? What do people think about taunting other fans during gameplay and injuries? I hope some smarter Sioux fans come in January.
-
Come on now, I don't think that was called for at all. WPoS, as I said in my earlier post, it is fine that you brought it up, the problem was how you did it. I believe this is a valid thread, but people should stop with the attacks on you.
-
Does anyone know who the ref is going to be? Do they announce that anywhere ahead of time?
-
I was actually able to see it and I thought it was very funny, and I had not been drinking. I think it is just people complaining about everything. Now if it was real and the person got hurt, I would understand being upset. My question is, should anything related to hockey be classy? I think the whole rivarly thing is fun and the addition of class, such as businesses getting seats, leads to empty seats and boring fans.
-
Are you sure? I was told there was legal action being taken against Goldy for that. This was an incident during the 96-97 season that I am referring to. It seems so recent, but looking at the year I guess it was a long time ago. I'm getting so old.
-
I agree, this is not typical of you. If you just came here and said the guy was a dumba$$ for sitting in the student section and throwing it on the ice, we would have agreed with you. However, talking about class and not realizing that the injury should have stopped taunting, you made the thread into an attack. Yes, I will forgive you because you normally contribute very nicely to the forum. And by no means do I expect you to want any forgiveness, which you definitely won't get for being a Gopher fan.

I believe they are both fun to watch. One thing I really enjoy about the NHL is the stickhandling ability. They can pass the puck a lot harder and fast, they can knock the puck down with ease, and just treat the puck like it is attached to the stick. In college people can't do saucer passes or catch them worth a crap. We get excited when a college player hits it out of mid-air, yet it is done all the time in the NHL. I also appreciate the NHL for policing the actions of cheap shots and cheap stick-work. As I said, I enjoy college too, but I wanted to point out some good qualities of the NHL to keep the discussion balanced. PS-I would always go to a live game compared to watching one on TV, especially if I had to go to a bar to watch it.

Are you saying that it is classy to taunt a fan during the injury? Sioux fans do not cheer for UND or taunt anyone during an injury. When Goldy shot pucks at a Badger fan on the ice for intermission intertainment, was that classy? The funny thing is the fact that you come on this board to represent a great Gopher hockey fan, and yet you were watching the fans instead of the hockey game.
-
I bet you already bought one and used it for Halloween.
-
OK, I see. He basically needed a lot of work, and why would UND want to deal with that? We have enough quality players and players that work their a$$ off.
-
Is there any way to get in on the charter tickets so that we can be with a large Sioux group?
-
If he was a major negative influence on the team, Blais would have had to change more than his playing ability. Maybe Blais tried and that drove Fournier away. Quinn does much better as #9.
-
I hate to say this, but I agree with redwing, he sucked. He was a total waste of hype. Maybe he could be at second till for McDonalds, but he would be a third liner at best.
-
Didn't the contract they gave out early say we had the opportunity to buy reserved seats for that series?

You are always showing off your Mapletoft Award.
