Again, I see what You're saying about the lack of authenticity, however, calling it a counterfeit, by definition, is incorrect. Secondly, while this may technically violate UND's copyright (I doubt it though), it is not taking money away from the program, because Sioux jerseys are not available at Siouxshop, and most people who would consider buying it would not buy a current jersey, or already have one. People won't choose to buy this jersey instead of an authentic one. The difference between the countless counterfeits and this jersey is that the Chinese jerseys are a) low quality b) actually infringe copyright c) mass produced for profit and d) take away potential revenue dollars from UND. This jersey does not.

All good points, but... coun·ter·feit ˈkoun(t)ərˌfit/ adjective 1. made in exact imitation of something valuable or important with the intention to deceive or defraud. IIRC this jersey is listed as a replica, not as authentic, or licensed, and when you say "counterfeit jerseys", that brings up images of Ohsie jerseys with a backwards 7, and Sioux logo with an enormous chin, and no pupil, and made in Southeast Asia.

But it is unlikely they will customize for you, of you want it to be historically accurate.

I'm guessing that siouxshop will only be prepared to customize jerseys they have in stock, but you could ask.

If you are referring either of the last two jerseys, the numbering is very simple, and almost any jersey customization place would be able to give you a good product. HOWEVER make sure that you give the jersey place some pictures, so they can clearly see the style and positioning of numbers. Make sure you get pro-weight stitched tackle twill, and only give them your business if they have good reviews/reputation with historical accuracy. Don't leave out any details. The last thing you want is to get a jersey with purple screen printed numbers in some futuristic font from the 90s.

Yes, your statement on "most" is fair, however, anywhere where the support is not extremely high, is somewhere where noone cares about UND sports. Also many teams have similar anthem shoutouts, where I'm sure the fans with military connections, or not, take no issue, most of the time.
