Good point. I think Nelson has the edge on Panzer post-UND, but Panzer did put up an astonishing 81 points in 46 games during his senior year.

I based it on a combination of time at UND and time in the pros and, Ryan Duncan played two games in the AHL.

This is mostly based on the names that jump out from the list of UND Alumni that are (or were) in the NHL, and (yeah, it's a little embarrassing) the UND legends list from the siouxshop website. I run them through the hockey-reference.com player comparison to determine the order, so don't put too much stock in my rankings.

Yup, we're over due, and Union isn't great.

I don't know how people keep track of all these players. I basically come here to familiarize myself with the names.

Hockey-reference.com and Hockeydb.com are both quite helpful.

While Dell has done more in his pro career, Goehring was a bit better at UND, so I'll give you that one.

Maybe a slight bias towards more modern players.
