It means nothing. I just made a feather in the style of the Brien logo era, and wrote siouxsports on it. It would be tough to scale down.

Yep. The only difference between the real thing, and the one on the hat is the weird lines going through it, which are most likely poor representations of the separate stitched areas on the hat. Like this

This just in from UNDSports.com: The University of North Dakota has announced further budget cuts to Fighting Hawks football. The changes include: -Jerseys will no longer be supplied by UND. Players will be asked to provide their own green t-shirts. -All but 12 helmets will be auctioned off. Players will take turns wearing the remaining ones. -Tickets will triple in price. Refunds are not available, and the extra fee will be applied to the ticket holder's credit card. -Home games will no longer be played at the Alerus Center, but will be moved to Farmer Pete's wheat field, a short 25 mile drive northeast of Grand Forks. Fans will be asked to bring picnic blankets, lawn chairs, or other seating. Directions available here. -Players will no longer be given free UND apparel. -The team will be renamed the University of North Dakota Fighting Hawks Presented by Deek's Pizza: Great pizza that won't empty you're wallet. -Leather footballs will be replaced by smaller foam footballs commonly known as "mini footballs". We trust that this will not subtract from our fanbase, or the experience at UND football games. Single game tickets are now on sale. Fighting Hawks gear is available at Sioux Shop, the UND Book Store, and other fine retailers in Grand Forks.
