  1. Guess I've been found out. Since there are no polls that mean anything, I refuse to pick the Sioux below MN and SCSU. Not sure why I didn't put them above Denver also.

    Sioux Alumni

Would be a good way to die. Can't believe they served them in the first place. Dept. of Health must not have been around. Wonder if you might get one at 1AM?

    Sioux Alumni

Send him a kit once in awhile; he'll get homesick. Traveled to and from Detroit Lakes this summer (to NWND). Grinder both ways Think it tasted the same, although it used to be around 1AM for the stop there. Resisted deja vu with a garbage plate (for now).
  4. 1. Denver 2. SIOUX 3. Minnesota 4. SCSU 5. CC 6. Duluth 7. Wisconsin 8. Alaska-Anchorage 9. Michigan Tech 10. Mankato
  5. Is here: http://www.siouxsports.com/hockey/showarticle.php?id=7

    New Logo

At least white is still "white" in pantone.
  7. I think of it as udder stupidity
  8. Is ignorance fundamental at NDSU? As Sic has posted, you've made a giant leap from what the UND President said. Why do you equate a division with more persons of color to more "criminal" activity? Who, exactly, is treading near racism here? It would appear to be you, JBB. Hope you don't represent the U to the south.
  9. UNI, It appears in an article quoting the UNI AD, that the conference will likely reject any attempt by the Bison to join the conference??? (see other thread) Maybe that's not the conference JBB is hinting at.
  10. Would be interested in seeing "Northern Iowa's (the poster here) response to what the UNI AD said in the article. Sounds like it will be a tough road for the Bison, Northern Colorado, and SD (or is it SDSU?).

    Craig Ludwig

Congrats, Craig. An example of a winner at the collegiate and NHL levels that didn't have to be the "offensive" defensemen that Minnie fans keep harping on. Do the Sioux need one; not if they take care of their own end the way Ludwig did and make good outlet passes.
  12. Who is the Gemini owner?
  13. From the Hrkac Crkac days. Played on a line with Nakonechny and (I don't remember). Least I think that's right. May have to watch the tape again. Sounds like every thing we've heard about the players working their tails off is true. Can't wait.
  14. Manitoba and Niagara. Ought to try and make it Nov 29 - Dec. 7, Mankato and St. Cloud. Revenge time at the REA.
  15. I feel like the doorknob that couldn't figure out that "Sockeye" came from Alaska
  16. Thanks for revealing that. And we're (Sioux fans) glad to have him.
  17. Getting just a little bit anxious to see this team. Don't suppose any of the FOX sports net stations are picking up the Buffalo tourney. Would guess the Detroit station would be the only chance with Mich. there. Not likely. Stuck with streaming audio again.
  18. Not suprising, CW has appeared in the rankings at #22. More surprising is that the Sioux are ranked above them at #18. Game must have been closer than it sounded http://www.wildcatsports.com/releases/foot...2002-0909b.html The entire NCC seems to have lost some respect with the pollsters, due in no small part to the CW/UND game, no doubt.
  19. Sounds like you need a day of vacation. Can anyone walk in and watch a practice? Assume not??
  20. I agree, keep it coming.
  21. Always wondered what it was; Blais had smoke coming out of his ears. They gave Kato a real shellacking; game wasn't as close as the score. The Mankato debaucle of last year better never happen again. Can't wait to get those guy back in the REA. Do they play in GF this year? Answered my own question; November is get even month - SCSU, UAA, Wisco, and Kato.
  22. Noone will confuse Gorder with Harlan Hill; can he count to 3?
  23. Regarding the third periods last year, can't see that it was a matter of conditioning. Backing in and parking in front of your own net while opponents get free shots through the screen you've created, uses little energy, but who knows if it's a sign of being worn out. I'd guess it was more a matter of being afraid to lose a lead. The Sioux of 2001 certainly did play a prevent of sorts in both the WCHA and NCAA playoffs, after they got the lead. It was, however, a high energy prevent that didn't allow opponent through the neutral zone, or at worst, stopped all rushes at the blue line. Created turnovers were turned into Sioux scoring chances. Very successful prevent , especially in the games against CC and MSU postseason. Actually they played it very well in the championship against BC with the score 0-0, but failed to convert the turnovers into goals (largely due to Clemmenson).
  24. Klosterman just intercepted late in the 2nd quarter with CW leading 23-7. Sioux getting nowhere on offense since the first drive and Sioux defense getting burned by the CW passing attack. Whoops, another CW touchdown; 30-7. Is the game over at half time? Ouch. Check that, another CW TD; don't know how they got the ball back that quick, 37-7.
  25. Appears Fournier has enrolled at UAA and will sit out this season. Apparently Coach Hill has told him what he wanted to hear: "Chris will definitely be a top-two line center and play on one of the power-play units. He's going to make some wingers awfully happy because he can deliver the puck at the right time." http://adn.com/sports/story/1735600p-1851727c.html Surprising that the UAA coach would say that before Chris proves himself. Maybe UAA doesn't have any real gems at center.
