  1. Off the top of my head, Iwabuchi Jensen Casey Belfour Schweitzer Were they all freshmen when the Sioux did well in the NCAA's?
  2. First of all, CC is much better than a lower half team, they must play inconsistently to be where they are. Can guarantee that noone wants to get CC in the playoffs. And, if they win down the stretch, they'll be waiting with home ice in the regional. The Sioux are not playing poorly, but they are in a major struggle to put the puck in the net, unlike earlier in the year. I don't believe there has been a game this year that the money line had more good chances than last night. At this point, if the Sioux can't sweep both Mankato and MTU, I'll be pessimistic about the NCAA's. They also need a win against the (currently) best team in the WCHA, Duluth, to spring them into the playoffs.
  3. I would not want to be the team getting CC in the playoffs.
  4. Zaba has been really good. CC really turned things around after the Sioux PP's, and caught them napping. 4 goals on 8 CC shots that period, but all goals on bigtime breakdowns. Bochenski has never had that many great chances without scoring. I have never seen a CC team that plays this cheap, either. Got to make them pay when they sit in the box.
  5. M. Stuart really using his stick on Sioux this weekend, don't ever remember him playing that way. Parise the primary target. Duluth up 1-0 after one also.
  6. Guessing Massen, Canady, and Palmiscno. Fabian, Prpich, and Hale in.
  7. Campion out with a knee injury. Marco Hunt has flown in, new ref to like.
  8. JPar will be in net again. Hale back in, nothing on Prpich, probably still injured.
  9. I'd expect more effort from the Gophs tonight also, although playing keepaway on a small ice surface doesn't work the way it does on a big surface. Still they shouldn't be losing those races down the ice at all positions the way they did last night. I thought the Goph PP was fairly good, except for getting the puck by Reichmuth.
  10. DW must have been getting bored with the Gophs undressing. He spent 5 minutes of the third, with play going on, discussing what the SIOUX are lacking, same old material, no offensive dman and maybe questionable goaltending. Here's some new material for DW when they're playing someone else: What the Gophs lack-defensive dmen and maybe goaltending
  11. Gophers stunk it up on the small ice surface. Totally outmatched by MDU. Speaking of undressed, the Goph D was undressed all night.
  12. Need to stay out of the penalty box; maybe Campion will put CC in a couple times for the defensive tackling their dmen are doing. Look a bit like Denver last year.
  13. Cable TV Schedule
  14. Funny, a goph fan on USCHO, I believe, listed those three as the best in the WCHA, with Campion and Schmidt the worst. I'd have reversed it.
  15. I said it somewhere but it was pointed out that the ralph regional is 2 years away, next year it's at hoochi.
  16. And here is the first column concerning the name/logo and fan behavior. Changed it, PCM
  17. A poster on uscho made one observation of the Sioux that, thinking back, watching on dataflix, may have been correct. He said the forwards were all so involved in the forecheck on Saturday that nobody thought of going to the net and creating traffic.
  18. Experts everywhere
  19. The best way to catch up on Sioux hockey history, the book, Fight on Sioux. I see there is one available on Amazon for $10.
  20. Where's the choice for ESPN's and Fox Sports Networks' athletic all-star poker?
  21. The same pic I noticed, and also look at Bruckler, eyes fixed downward at his five hole, with what appears to be much of the short side available. There's is no way he makes that save if it's shot on net, since he can't react to a puck he's not looking at.
  22. I need another choice, like all of them.
  23. According to an SI question in the current issue, three of the following four played for the US WJC team in 1979: Dave Christian Tim Mishler Mike Stone Craig Ludwig
  24. Don't delude yourself into thinking that the NCAA worries about what fans have to do outside the hockey games. As long as a venue guarantees enough bucks, they'll get the FF.
