You know the way Shegos (is it him again?) is making calls against the Sioux the BC diving game will be in full swing for the remainder of the game. Who got the first Sioux penalty; certainly wasn't Marvin was it, TV didn't show it, and didn't tell us who it was. I was sure it was going against Alberts, who gave Marvin a two hand shot to the face, the continued the beating down on the ice.

Yes, Radke was out at least once.

Genoway is a senior, an 86 bday, about one and a half years older than Jonathan Toews.

USCHO has removed the front page link to the story, although my link above still works. Who knows what they are doing. And yes, Hirsch was at practice yesterday (Lucia interview on kfan yeaterday afternoon). Edit:USCHO has now "revised" the story and the sequence of events have changed.

Hirsch article on USCHO Would appear joking about Tyler is not in order. Hope he solves his problems.

There had to be some major questions among colleges before they decided to recruit this guy. He obviously has come questionable character attributes that go way beyond hitting from behind. Nice recruit, Gwoz, and good job not reining him in. Physical presence, indeed.

That should qualify you as a sudo-attorney

Although I'm not sure why the AR's are added to the reprimand, as they are not supposed to make calls if the head referee is looking at the play, which Adam obviously was; Adam deserves to get the brunt of this all by himself, or maybe along with the supervisor of officials.

Good news for Robbie and the Bina family; wonder if they might be able to get him to Worcester with the team?

Gwoz has supspended Punkovich for the Bemidji game.

Duncan remains on top of the BCHL playoff scoring although he was pointless in SA's win last night. Kozek scored the game winner, unassisted in OT in Surrey's 2-1 win Would like to see a replay of that one. Watkins was first star with 1-1-2 in Vernon's win.

Expected that, the way he went off the ice when he reinjured the shoulder. Can't expect him keep taking hits on that shoulder and endanger his hockey future. Time to get it repaired and rehabed for next fall.

Looks like lots of homerism over there also comparing Sioux vs Gophers. The two have been on very different paths the last couple months. Being realistic, at least the Gophers and Sioux should be reversed.
-
Except for Boyle, who scored a couple in the HE championship, apparently is a center, and is reported as being 6'7", 235.

At about 27.10 of this WDAZ broadcast

I kind of started all this with the first comment; guess I'll have to take it back, as it probably matters little what standard sized rink they practive on. My problem with bb in the REA stems from the poor ice, although I have no idea whether installing a buckets court over the ice adds to/or creates the problem. At any rate, they won't be playing on it any longer this year, and, if they can win two games out east, will be back on it practicing next week.

What? no four pack grinder kit Edit: Appears my post with the new link was deleted?

I'm surprised FSN would show this when the Wisco/CC games are at the same times, but, that's what the email says. Maybe the Wisco alternate has the Grand Rapids region on.

Love this frm the herald article:

644 is Altitude Sports on directtv, part of the Fox Sport package. Still requires directtv and sports pack, but I believe DISH network should get this station, whereas they do not get ESPNU (609, directtv).

The top 2 seeds are likely the only important "1's" since they get the two weaker teams. After that, there do not appear to be any games that seem to be "easy" for anyone, so in the long run keeping a subjective system probably is better. Seems that the one flip (Denver/CC) may have kept the Sioux out of Marriucci (although that's unclear to me, maybe it kept them out of Grand Rapids). It is nice to be the one team with the regional on real home ice, even though the Gophers were there no matter what the seeding. The Sioux have that opportunity next year.

I was likely one of them, because of all the extra weanie hooks and obstruction that was called, but I'm probably changing my mind. If the same kids can play the game the way it was played in the WJC with international officiating, it can certainly be done in college hockey. Watch some of the Michigan/OSU Super 6 championship, and was really looking for those type of calls that I thought were marginal last fall, but neither team was doing any of those things, so little needed to be called. Seems that they've adjusted.
