  1. Is Kevin working on that?
  2. The best place to get a printable schedule of FSSN telecasts: http://www.ndtc.tv/fssn.htm
  3. The coordinates for this Saturday's Grizzly football game (1PM Mountain) are up (G28-89W): http://www.montanagrizzlies.com/pages/news_item.aspx?n=8991&m=18 Sioux vs. Grizzlies likely to be on the same satellite later this season, although the satellite and coordinates are posted during the week of each game, and sometimes change during the season.
  4. Although not listed in the article, the UNI game is on nearly every Fox Sports Net station on dishnetwork betwenn channel 410 (which has the Sioux game) and 450, with the exception of just a few that have a MLB game.
  5. Would seem to be accurate, although if it's satellite uplinked, it should be on all cable providers of FSSN. Wondering if someone in the GF area could call media controller Jami Lunski at 774-4774 and get this settled, since email addresses are no longer given on theralph web site. While articles on televison never mention satellite, this one, http://www.fightingsioux.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=58684&SPID=6405&DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=204983705, states the show will be on FSSN.
  6. Also have not been able to get an answer to, or decipher, whether this will be uplinked to satellite for those with a system; assume it will be? As far as FCS goes, the article states: . Not 30 minutes prior to game time as on Midco, but on FCS nevertheless,
  7. I have dish, so no FCS, but I keep it for the winter for college hockey. Yes, can drop it anytime but dish charges $5 for changes.
  8. It's on Altitude? Maybe I have to subscribe to the sports pak early this year. As for FSSN, doubt that the REA will pay to uplink the feed to satellite. Midco cable has been know to pick games up at times when enough demand is there, so maybe, but unlikely.
  9. Hilarious; Idaho River ( all tied up in court over the name) followed by none other than JBB. The Sioux hockey team is in shambles since they went D1, everyone left. (Is that like 50 years ago.). They called the hockey team NDSU when they hosted their own tournament. Only JBB could make this sh?* up as he goes (maybe D. Adam can also)
  10. Surprised at the large coverage area, Do the TC have more than one PBS station on dish local networks? Thought I'd be out of luck, since my spot beam covers just western ND.
  11. Dishnetwork? Where? Is this a local network available if you live in the right area, or something else?
  12. Of course no scientific accuracy, but still a bit better than the 75-25 for immediate change that some posters have been estimating here. As far as alumni that aren't Sioux sports fans, I'm sure there are, I just don't know any.
  13. What do Sioux fans on the board think; let the name go now or fight to the deadline (ie give SR the longest possible chance to vote). Maybe Sioux fans on this board are not a representative sample, but as a whole it's better than one or two posters' circles.
  14. Sounds like we need a ss.com poll to see if it's 75-25 here.
  15. No TV schedule info yet, but the 2010/2011 coordinates are now on the REA site: http://theralph.com/asp/default.asp?p=19 Once again on 91W
  16. Sorry, Jim Ice brings out the worst in me when he's condescending towards an excellent FTA professional installer that has helped out a multitude of Sioux fans that want to get the FSSN.
  17. Good grief, condescending, anyone? If I were a mod here, you'd get the "stirring up trouble" warning. Guessing you've already wet yourself loving the "almost HD" comment, although falling in love with a message board comment can't be all that stimulating.
  18. Are those channels always on, because they don't show in the all channels online guide?
  19. The picture on your 3500 is excellent, and I wouldn't change to the 4000 when you have what you have. If you're setting up for the first time and have an hdtv with hdmi inputs, the 4000 is worth the extra $. I've split my hdtv scrren when the Sioux-Gophters were on dishnetwork in HD, and compared to the FTA screen, and there is virtually no difference. If you compare the same SD broadcast on dishnetwork FSN to the FTA feed, FTA blows it away.
  20. I hope it does, I don't have any other way to get it myself, unless I change tv providers. Ice, what is the point in tracking my posts catching errors in what I post concerning satellite TV. I have one interest in FTA, getting the FSSN, and, where I can, helping Sioux fans trying to get it set up. Other than that I know little to nothing about satellite TV, other than my first purchase included a very poorly constructed dish that I had to replace, and my life is not built around satellite message boards. There's good reason for a Sioux fan that just wants to get FSSN to get good components the first time. If I were a Miami hockey fan living outside the area that can get ONN, and relying on FTA, I'd be upset right now, knowing that I could no longer get it. I hope that doesn't happen to the FSSN.
  21. I guess ONN ended their run of KU band broadcasts, so no more Miami hockey. I fear that, with FSSN getting on FCS, it's just a matter of time before the REA no longer pays for a satellite uplink, and all of us satellite guys will have to either buy directtv, talk dish into adding FCS, or, go without FSSN Would be nice if the REA put out a news release soon on whether FSSN will be uplinked this season.
  22. Unlikely, these transponders are not as strong as those used by dish and directtv. Most news channels, news feeds, and foreign stations on KU band. Miami's home hockey is usually on Ohio News Network at 74W. Occasionally I've picked up an ECAC game (unfortunately the Sioux game was not uplinked last season). Grizzly football is on KU band (every game, has been on 99W recently). World Cup soccer was on 93W (Spanish announcers). Short time ago several fox network stations were available from different places in the county (Michigan, Montana, and Texas) so NFL football games were on (none are available any longer). 97W has a few interesting news stations (2 of which are Russia Today and Al Jazeera network, both in English), among others. ABC News on 89W. 91W has had little else but the FSSN recently, but the strengh of signal is the best since the FSSN began on other satellites. There has been an occasional FSSN change in satellites during the season when the REA makes a deal to pick up a feed from a road series, and has to buy satellite space wherever it's available at the time.
  23. Use this app, it will help with the azimuth. Enter your address, find your house and the location of your dish on the house, and enter the satellite the FSSN will be on (when they tell us). http://www.dishpointer.com Are you doing a fixed setup, or buying a motor? Your straight south satellite is at 97W Longitude.
  24. Last year's WDAZ/FSSN contract was a one year deal, so that contract needs to be renewed first, Would guess we'll see that announcement, and hopefully satellite coordinates, sometime in August.
