  1. before moving here we came once a year for a hockey series and always stayed at the Econo Lodge. It's basic but cheap and was convenient given the speedway bus was right next door No problem with the rooms whatsoever. Beds were fine
  2. As are RT's, which are just as common as Swainsons. Friend I worked with had a gryfalcon, great looking bird. He and other hawk/falcon hunting enthusiasts often hunted grouse in NWND. I banded peregrines on S. Padre Island along the south Texas coast. Had to be careful as there were always some raptor owners trying to sneak off with a peregrine.
  3. Good grief, thought he was the best of the former Gophers playing for the Wild. Guess he maybe took on some of the typical Gopher arrogance while he was there. Who did they get for trading away 1st rounder Tuch?
  4. Don't think I've ever seen that from him
  5. But if you crave a grinder, buy the ingredients at the pepper and pick up a bun at hugos The new buns suck. Someone bought a bun at hugos, took it to the south location, and they made him a grinder using his bun And all 4 peppers, including Fargo, have those lowsy buns.
  6. I'm not female nor particularly health conscious, but I do like the chic-fil-a chicken, and it is the only chicken sandwich I'd eat. so I'm glad it's in Forks, and stop there frequently. It appears always be busy except for breakfast. Chicken for breakfast may still seem a bit odd for forkers.
  7. Good grief, don't get carried away with the narrative of having a real hawk/falcon. There are many legal falconers that own hawks/falcons and hunt with them, legally. Finding one that would bring their birds to indoor stadiums, however, might be problematic, and flying them indoors may be out of the question. But finding a falconer that will be at UND sporting events with the hawk sitting on his arm is not totally farfetched.. Flying one in the Ralph to takes a live rodent on the ice would be cool, but would bring up even more problems fortm PETA and the like, and would not be doable, even if you found a falconer that would fly his bird indoors under artificial light (not going to happen). But it's a cool concept.
  8. Good grief, will anyone take a job in Alaska. Looks like the salaries are low for a head coach (<200K) and expensive places to live. Wonder if these programs can continue much longer.
  9. Does Morrisey have a history of suspensions, and if not could he still get more than 1 game. The missed call was a game changer that was not called, could he get at least 2 because of that?
  10. Yes, but the Jets did all the hitting in the first two games. Good to see the Wild hitting back. May have a chance if they keep it up
  11. Jets like to hit but don't like to get hit
  12. Nope, but it is music we like to hear in the Ralph. Although Blackhawk haters no doubt cringe when they hear it.
  13. I get it if you don't like the Blackhawks you don't like Chelsea Dagger
  14. #morechelseadagger in the Ralph this year--- and next

  17. Anchorage apparently offered David Carle the head coach position and he turned it down

    2018 Season

Already done, haven't seen the winner announced
  19. Register your complaint when you go to one of the peppers. New buns have an almost bagel like consistency. Very dense heavy bread. Yuck, drown them in white sauce to barely make them edible. Guessing they are shipped in from somewhere frozen. I'll take a salami grinder with taco meat, hold the bun.
  20. The new buns suck. No more grinders for me unless they return to hugos buns
