  1. I don't care who your "dudes" are at TE and OL, if the QB play is going to be like it was this season as well as the play-calling the result will be the same. As for TE's the way they are used, we would be far better off playing with 6 OL on the field.
  2. Completely agree with this. 3 games to go and we needed to win 2 vs Idaho, Portland State and Northern Arizona. Did not play well in any of the 3 games and went 1-2. Unacceptable.
  3. If it’s obvious to all of us that the offense is a disaster, do we really think it is not obvious to the players? A penny for Santiago and Oliveras thoughts today.
  4. Well said.
  5. Fundraising much easier for one over the other. Ask yourself, what would Notre Dame be without it's football team? Notre what?
  6. Was it the oline or Kett and the play calling? Yesterday Kett had 2 completions over 10 yards and one of those was long screen. Stack the box, bring pressure and cover wanzek. That’s it. Kett doesn’t look at anyone else, even as a look off.
  7. Drive chart yesterday. Almost Impossible to win with this drive chart.
  8. Maybe, but it has been getting worse throughout the season and yesterday culminated in embarrassment. Kepp doesn’t have to duck and fall to the ground every time he sees a defender within 5 yards.
  9. Unfortunately Bubba is the one who is ultimately responsible.
  10. Yep. The offense started its slide at UNC. Kepp has not been sharp in awhile and when combined with questionable schematics and play-calling, we have the result.
  11. Bubba wasn’t confident in his offense because the QB was awful. Why would he not replace the qb?
  12. I have looked through the season stats by game and this offense deteriorated as the season went on. Yes there were injuries, but the trendline is down, down, down. By the end Kett was a shadow of the QB that UND needs, and nobody could figure out to try someone else. Yesterday he completed one downfield pass and that was only because Wanzek made a fantastic catch. It is pretty hard to win doing that and I would guess pretty hard to motivate players and even other coaches to put it “All on the line “ when you know there is complete incompetence in certain quarters.
  13. If UND had NDSU play-calling, offensive coaching and game management I think it is very likely this team would be 10-1 and a seed in the playoffs. I do also question some of the defensive “play-calling” and schemes, but UNDs offense has deteriorated to the point is is just flat awful. To me if this was a player problem even close to as much as a coaching problem we would have been blown out in the game even yesterday.

    Wtf

Is there an annual award given for thread of the year? If so, this is surely the winner. Very eloquent and to the point? Are you posting laying face down on the floor of “The Drum”?
  15. Hopefully this is a bad joke for a number of reasons.
  16. I know I am droning on and on about Kett but he was just awful today. Not average, not kind of bad, not bad, he was awful. Either the skill to recognize that is missing from Bubba and Co or the will is missing and neither scenario is good. Trying to figure out how that must feel as a player? You know some of them have that figured out, judging by the tenor of the team as the game wore on, I think it’s possible the majority of the team had that figured out. The effort just seemed to evaporate as the game wore on. The offense goes 3 and out early in the 4th quarter, punt is shanked and NAU takes over deep inside UND territory. The defense deflects a pass and creates the turnover that we needed so desperately. How much of the team was thinking “oh $@&/, if only Canady had taken it back for a td, we would have a tie game, now the offense will screw it up”? I know that is exactly what I was thinking and that is exactly what happened. The offense had really gotten that bad, and Bubba could not recognize it? Where does that leave us?
  17. This scenario is a very unhealthy way to run an athletic department. An AD hires the HC and it is his job to do the rest with the resources he is given. A much healthier scenario would be to leave it to Bubba.
  18. I think I am more bothered by #1. I am not sure how a HC can be that oblivious to a QB who is struggling mightily in a huge game. It is not like Ketts effectiveness had not been sliding over at least the last half of the season.
  19. Taht is not what I am saying.
  20. Yes. Many can. And there are what 20 million Texas, Alabama and Ohio state football fans?
  21. They are hockey players and junior players? Really? That is your sample?
  22. Please stop while you can still save some face.
  23. Again I love hockey and UND hockey but to compare UND hockey and NDSU football national recognition to the average sports fan is silly.
  24. That is where you are really wrong. Nationally NDSU football dwarfs UND hockey. Those are just the facts. No reason UND football cant do the same.
  25. No matter how good players are if they don’t believe in you......well we have been watching that the last month or so.
