This team is an undisciplined mess with a QB who is bad if his first read is not open and he is not under pressure. Does not matter how talented/untalented a team is when they play like this. This is a pathetic performance, very similar to performance at EWU.

Kett makes one read. He needs to be pulled.

So our athletes are not up to par and our coaching is bad overall yet we have defeated two ranked team in the last month. We went 3-2 in what most FCS “experts” said before the season was a crazy tough stretch of schedule. How many FCS team would have gone 4-1 or 5-0 in that stretch? 2 teams? Maybe 3 or 4? Could the roster use an upgrade in a spot or two? Of course, which roster couldn’t. Are there some coaching problems that are less than perfect? Yes. But remember we have played with 3 different qbs during this stretch and in one of the losses the qb had 5 turnovers on the road in miserable conditions and we still had a chance in the 4th qtr.

Clemson, SC and Tuscaloosa, AL are not exactly great draws for college students either. The promise of a ring draws them in.

Far too many folks on here constantly compare the UND program to the program 90 miles to the south. NOBODY in any division of college football compares to their performance in FCS at the moment, not even Alabama and Clemson in FBS. Not healthy. They will falter at some moment and that will be out moment to pounce, until then we have to be the best football program we can be at the FCS level.

Been thinking about the whole situation with Kett. Seems at this point he does well when he is a game manager and knows where he is going with the ball and the play is very well setup. He gets into trouble when he has to throw the ball downfield(missed Maag badly late in the game) or when he is under pressure or needs to “make a play”. Maybe by half-time Danny was through the Cal Davis play book. Sounds a little crazy, but watch the game again and keep what I said in mind. Confidence had to be shaken after the performance in Cheney and remember Kett missed several weeks of practice.

The reality is if we can go 4-2 down the stretch we are in playoffs. 5-1 we could even host an opening round game, depending on what else happens. I’ll take it.

Were some of you really expecting to be 5-0 at this moment playing 4 incredibly tough opponents in a row?

Was it tougher than it could have been? Yes. Do remember we just defeated what was voted as the 12th best team in FCS. Lots to work on and I am not by any means sold on Kett. Could the conservatism in the 2nd half mean the staff is not sold on Kett either?

We are 3-2 after an incredibly tough 4 game stretch. It was not necessarily easy but we are where most of us would have hoped for before the season started.
