Terrible. So many late blown games due to awful pitching.
-
I can’t believe the refs let Michigan get away with that delay. I hate everything about Michigan this year. Such a shady program.

The backup just hasn’t been good. This would be a completely different game with Hrenak in net.

This St Cloud goalie is awful.

You seem to be a UMD fanboy but yet want blue chippas. Can’t have it both ways. Who is the last UMD player make an impact at the NHL level? Why would anyone seeking the NHL committ to UMD? “Come to UMD where we will groom you into a 4th line defensive pker at best”.

Have they still not decided? I feel like it’s was 30 minutes to decide to look at it and 2 hours to make a determination.
-
UMD obviously has a successful style for the college level. Basically be the best defensive team possible, but if your goal was to be a top 6 forward in the NHL, why would you ever go there? Sandelin does a great job at getting the most out of guys that aren’t top recruits. His system is boring but it works. I think he is one dimensions and doesn’t have a clue how to coach a team with offensive firepower…see wjc 2019.

The best possible result. Nobody got hurt and don’t have to play an extra game, which would only lead to somebody getting hurt. I’m somewhat being sarcastic.

In my opinion the Kleven majors are fines/suspensions at the AHL/NHL level also. I don’t think officiating is a reason for him to bail. He will also be asked to fight a lot once he turns pro because of big hits.

Seems like guys coming back threw off the chemistry a bit.

Don’t agree with that no goal.

Does anyone know what, if anything, UND can do to flip the comparison with Cornell? Or are we just out of luck on that one ...
What is this flip you speak of? Don’t think I’ve heard of it.

Don’t know that there is a single player that hasn’t hit another gear since they got swept at Lawson. From the goalie, to the young dmen that have been called upon due to injuries, to the forth line shut down forwards. You can tell how close this group is. Special team.

Seems crazy that St. Cloud has won 1 of their last 9 games, is 4 games above .500, and is still a top 10 team according to pairwise.

I don’t see anything intentional at all there.

Johnson tries too many high risk moves when he’s the last man back.

Yep. If we don't make the NCAA's (still at #13 after tonight's win), we can blame it on those two losses.
I remember a Brad article when UND got swept by Canisius a few years back and missed the tourney that if they won even one of those games they would have got in. I hope that Cornell weekend doesn’t turn into the same thing this year. This team is better than that team and that Cornell weekend is looking more like a fluke.

Cornell loses to Colgate. What a pairwise anchor that series was.
-
Great game defensively. WMU is a very good team. Frisch didnt appear to be injured too bad. We aren’t playing Cornell or WMU next weekend. Didn’t give up a short handed goal. That’s all the positives I have.

I see people referencing Driscolls save percentage tonight. What goal(s) were on him? None by my count. This d-corps is so soft in front of him and not good enough on the pk that he gets hung out to dry a lot. Sure would be nice to have a stay at home defenseman or two. Miss the old days where it took steel balls to stand in front of the UND net. Now you can stand there without any pads and come out bruise free.

Free falling and no end in sight.

Driscoll hasn’t been good this year, but he hasn’t had much luck either. Couple of broken plays lead to goals against.
-
Let’s be honest, with a tough non-conference schedule, Cornell is one of the least skilled teams they will play all season. Cornell is not a top 10 team and neither is UND. Kudos to Cornell for great defensive play and goaltending and for picking up the sweep. This UND team will likely be ranked where they should be now…on the bubble.
-
Cornell is a frustrating team. They have very little offensive zone time and don’t generate many chances but still put up goals. Good around the net with the big bodies. UND has looked terrible since the break.

We got a goalie.
Freshmen and 5th year guys look really really good.
Moore/Johnson already look like they have improved from last year.
+22 on faceoffs. Wasn’t that a question mark? Seemed like everything went their way so tough game to gauge.
This is the deepest team I can remember as far as who plays vs who sits.
